Let’s talk about the intentional grounding

It was a very bad call. There was no intention of grounding there. Ball got deflected, and still a receiver on the deflected pass.
 
The officiating was a dumpster fire all day. It's frustrating to see a game controlled by outside circumstances other than the play on the field. You know when a game starts out with a call like that they will finish the job.... And they did.
 
best part of that was when the replay expert came on the air and said yes Smythe was an eligible receiver, but he was blocking so it doesnt count. WTF? it's like they make this crap up as they go. Either your eligible or your not. This is life in Roger's NFL

Exactly, Now is it intentional grounding every time a Qb gets hit. Bullshit call that did set the tone

I don't know about that. I would hate to see qbs just throwing the ball into the ground while being tackled to avoid a sack. About the only sacks you would see were the pure blindside hits where the qb had no idea the defender was there.
 
The worst part of the call was that it gave points to the opposition and also acted like a turnover. If that call happens anywhere on the field, it’s terrible - but it’s a spot foul and a loss of down. This call in the end zone was insanely bad because of the points and the turnover.
 
we can go all day with what ifs but the fact is we did not played well today on both sides of the ball and that's why we lost.
 
Jets fans sitting nearby wondered how intentional grounding was called also when he is being hit on his throwing side. Terrible call to start the game and clearly set a tone at the beginning of the game.

Indeed..and special teams as well. That missed field goal loomed large, and the punting and return game was not to the mark either.
