Let's talk free agency (step 1)

I want to start with the Oline. I would prefer Tunsil move to guard, but doesn't seem that will happen. What FA's are you guys looking at and for what positions? I assume depth or starter, guard, RT and C are all in play? Can we build this line with players around the $5M salary line, vs the upper tiers of salary? have you heard of any cap casualties?

This past season is a wash for me, i'm taking the level of play with a carton of Morton salt. You are a big proponent of bringing back Landry and that will be addressed before free agency begins as will other players. If Landry hits the market doubt he will be a Dolphin in '18. So that should open the bank a bit if he does. I trust Gase to keep his players that he believes in and trusts. Need to see the cuts and re-signs first before we can start the wish list. I'm tired of winning or should I say attempting to win free agency. Swing for the fences is the approach I want, go after a top shelf player or two rather than over paying for a bunch of middlings. Depend on the draft (for the love of god, no more trades) and developing our own. This team will be better regardless of free agency.

i don't think we're going to be big players in the FA market this year

1st step is telling Tunsil he's our LT for life and he needs to get that imprinted into his head

2nd step is restructuring suh , maybe wake...

i'm more concerned about re-signing our guys than going shopping

Awsi has the best FA strategy I’ve seen.

Go for 2-0 in FA. Pick 2 players who are above what you have at important positions and go get them.

Not the Suh’s of the world but pretty darn good football players.

If you moved Tunsil to guard, you could Pick Mcglinchey at 11 to solve the LT issue. I'm not sure if that would make us better though.

Addition by subtraction. Get rid of Pouncey, James and Bushrod. Grab one free agent guard/center and let Smith, Davis and Sterup compete for the right side.
Tunsil is the LT and give Brendel a chance to start at Center

Sign our own is first but second is Cameron Brate. If Tampa decides to let him walk because of OJ Howard, we need to be all over that kid. Jimmy Graham would be my second choice and probably have a better chance to get him as he'd be coming home.

Miller and Vernon both went to the U and also were drafted by Miami. Those two are “our own”. Branch and Alonso don’t apply to that.
