Liar Liar aka Schefty's lies

Nothing in Armando's article says that Schefter was lying.

Every think that is how Martin's people delivered it to the media?

It was deliberately to shame and inflict damage. There is a reason the full disclosure wasn't given.

I still wanna hear it too.

Until they release the full voicemail (which I don't think they will anytime soon) then I can't fully weigh in.

But just in reading between the lines, it seems as if Schefty/ESPN has an agenda and that they're trying to steer the story in the direction that is in the companies best interest.

Can't you see that we are on a topsy turvy boat ride. It will weeks until we know all the facts. Until then, enjoy the show!

If ESPN has the full audio of the voicemail.... and they choose to only talk about the damning part of it and leave out the end... then that would imply that ESPN and/or Schefty know about the omitted part.

Peter King had to put down his old sick dog today. It was a tough decision but it was in the best interest of the dog and to end its suffering

Though Schefter and ESPN would report 'King murders defenseless animal, dysfunction in King household". Tom Jackson would call King a racist since the Dog had golden fur.

Unfortunately the media gets away with a lot of sleazy reporting and it has gotten much worse now that everyone has immediate access and there is an urgency to be the first to report.

About the only course of action is to ban everything ESPN but good luck with that. Until Fox, CBS and NBC get their sports networks established in the mainstream, ESPN will continue to dominate and won't miss a few readers / viewers.

If at the end of the investigation Richie is shown to be innocent, and that ESPN did have the entire voicemail, I think Richie's camp should sue ESPN.

Well you could point out that ESPN and their "reporters" are using social media and the like to bully players. Simply put their not getting the facts, they don't retract misinformation and they put things out there they know will condemn a player, rightfully or not, in the court of public opinion. Seems like a form a bullying to me.

Did they actually doctor it though? Or is that just an assumption based on leaving part of it out of the transcript? BTW, I cant stand Schefter so I'm not defending that clown or espn at all.

Good question...also do we know if ESPN was given the complete vm or did Martin's team play only a select portion of it?
