Linehan likes AJ

We also can't make judgements on his mini camp performances. I want to see how he performs in a game. Glad to hear that AJ is winning over Linehan.

Aj isnt winning him over Benchfielder is just a huge homer.

By your reasoning he also said good things about Gus and Sage, you being a Feeley homer only hear and post what your like to try and make it look like he spent more time raving on Feeley when in all actuality he didnt.
That`s exactly what I got out of it too.

...and I still think Gus is going to win out in camp.

Good news, though AJ has to show it on the field. Everyone rooting for Gus to start should understand that is, AT BEST, a one year solution.

How much better to hope Feeley pans out and DT can become the primary need next offseason instead of a QB search?

Linehan understands that he could have AJ around for at least the next 4-5 years if he works out, while Gus is good for maybe 2 as a back-up.

LT is the number one need for the team regardless of how AJ does this year. You can find QB's outside of the first round, rarely do you find a stud LT outside of round 1.

JMO anyway.

BenchFiedler, you are obviously one of the biggest Feeley homers on this board, but even you have to realize that at this stage of the game, Scott wouldn't badmouth any of the QBs. Everybody knows that the position will be settled in camp, but come on, Linehan would never come out and say "AJ is terrible...he has no future here" Its a typical coach puff piece, and I wouldn't have expected any different if he were talking about Gus or Sage

Sorry..but your post comes across as being as much anti Feeley as his was as a "homer". Its funny how you say it was typical coach stuff....why is it not possible thay he was infact saying that AJ is showing something. You automatically assume the worst. If AJ wasnt showing anything..he would most likely just say nothing.

Like you aint a Feeley hater?! Course your opinion that Lineghand doesnt really like AJ and he just said that wouldnt have anything to do with your own bias would it?

Read all the arcticles and do your own research at this point, Linehan has stated multiple times that there is no favorite and no QB has taken the lead in that regard, I am sorry your not big into accepting facts.

I think it is good for the Phins to have this competition now between AJ and Gus, I just hope the Saban doesn't play musical chairs at QB the way Wanny did. Stick with one guy.

I doubt he will. That's not a smart move and really shows fans and players that you are not clear on your decision making (a poor leadership trait). If he makes a change I think it would only be once, and for the rest of teh season.

Ive never been big on Aj but I would love to see him work out. Hope he improves, Frerotte aint doing squat.

Nice way of avoiding the point dude, but of course when you cant argue the point, change the point right? I never said AJ was the favorite to start nor did the thread starter. He said what teh article said, that he was happy with AJ's offseason work and he liked the way he threw and said he had some talent. Where did anyone lie as to what Linehan said? Cant find the lie? Course you cant, cause noone lied, Linehan said it, it is quoted. Me thinks you are the one showing the bias since you are so nervous that AJ might actually win the job. It is you that has issues.

Good to hear about Feeley. I'm really pulling for him to win the QB spot cause I know he has the arm, it's just a matter of being comfortable in the new offense. No way I believe Gus has an advantage over AJ physically.

500th post :ladysman: :mdfin:
