Lol! I want to see a Marino/Jim Rome Interview!

It has nothing to do with being thin-skinned or about the Phins in general. This has EVERYTHING to do with Rome being a tool! I have heard his interviews and feel they are marginal at best.

What Jim Rome is good at, is his classless negative dialog that pumps up his classless clones.

What was really funny?...The look on his cowardess face when Jim Everett had enough of his $hit and tossed the table. I thought Mr. Rome's pants were going to pucker right up his Kazoo.

By the way...thanks for calling me classless. You just ranted for three paragraphs about how Rome is good at nothing but "classless negative dialog" yet, the entire three paragraphs of your post were negative dialog.

I think he sucks too. I never liked him and I cringe when he's on the radio.(not very often).. Good thing for me that sports talk is on more than one station..

And to thie ignorant person who said if you don't like jim rome you don't have a sense of humour.. my anwser to you is that I consider myself having a rather great sense of humour, I just don't find jim rome's "humor" funny in the least bit. It's dry, repetitive, monotenous and LAME!

I tried to give his show a chance, but I thought it was 3% sports and 97% negative banter…with the 3% being the news breaks.

Rome was OK when he first came on here in SoCal (early 90`s) doing the late show on XTRA. His act is wearing a bit thin now though imo. Take what he says about Marino with a grain of salt...guarantee that he`d never say those remarks to Dan, face to face.

If he actually had talent, then maybe people would let it go, but the guy sounds like he should be one of Howard Stern's whack pack members. The guy is horrible at interviewing people, brings no new sports info to his listeners, has no opinion worth listening to, and he would rather let his clones do most of the work, filling time for his show, then him actually doing the work. I find listening to his show to be as interesting as watching grass grow....the guy's a moron.:yell:

Jim Rome is great, and "The Jungle" is the best sports radio show. He gets the best interviews, so he has an opinion, and it's usually pretty funny who cares. Alot of the Dolfans who post here are too think skinned IMO, any negative things written about the Phins and the writer is automatically an idiot, or does not know what he's talking about, which is why they get paid for doing what they're doing right?

He hangs up on anyone who dares call his show and call him Horseshack; but he feels free to mock anyone and everyone.
I find him about as funny as a hemorrhoid. Funny is Colin Cowherd & Dan Patrick.
I have yet to be able to sit through a whole show on radio or tv, and don't bother catching more than a minute unless I'm at someone else's place.
I cannot comprehend how he is employed.

Then how do you say you don't like someone that is overly negative, without being negative?? I agree with just about everyone else. I don't enjoy his humor and only listen to his show when "The Racin Boys" are on the competition.

I love Rome....best sports talk radio show on earth. He does good interviews and adds comedy to everything. Sports is taken WAY too seriously by a lot of people and it is nice to have a host add some humour to the situation.

Actually, I knew Jim Rome was an idiot long before I read this thread and found out he calls Marino names. Rome is living proof that talent isn't neccessary for success. You just need to capitalize on a niche (see Morton Downey Jr., Jerry Springer, Carrot Top...the list goes on).
