Lol! I want to see a Marino/Jim Rome Interview!

just so you guys know.. the Everett/Rome incident was a total fake. It was just extremely well done, but was coordinated and not real.
 
it goes for all national media, if I think there an idiot and they write a good dolphins article I will say they are an idiot, but good article. I still think lebatard is an idiot, if tommorow he comes up with reasons dolphins will win the superbowl, my opinion wont change. Jim Rome is an ***, he always will be, if you cant stand his show dont watch. I really dont agree with alot of these sports shows guys. Like the guy last year who said after ricky left miami would go 1-15. There was an idiot.

Does anyone know how that whole thing started? I've seen that awesome clip a million times, but I've never really heard why Rome had such a problem with Jim Everett. Did he just call him Chris for years and years to piss him off? Did Jim Everett ever dis Rome before all the Chris namecalling started?
It's just wierd that it got to that point.
 
The funny thing is...

Rome is right...Marino is Mr. I never won a Super Bowl. There is nothing he has said that is untrue. As much as I loved seeing Marino play and I still believe he was a great player at his posistion, he still is ringless and will be haunted by that forever.

I would trade all his records and legacy for one super bowl in hi tenure...Honest to God I could care less if Marino has all the records and was the most gifted QB....I want the Lombardy Trophy not a loser QB with a bunch of records...Just my opinion.

For the time being, it's good to have something to gloat about (MARINO), but when Miami wins a Super Bowl, you'll see how quickly Marino's records begin to be left in the back burner. I watch the game to see my team win....the super bowl, not just make the playoffs and exit quickly...sadly, we need to take comfort in things like....records???!!!!

-David Hasselhoff and Dan Marino give each other high fives and ride off with Pamela Anderson while Jim Rome lays on the floor getting abused by Snowflake the Dolphin and Ray Finkle to the tune of off-key Germans singing continuing to sing Hasselhoff tunes

BTW -I live in So Cal and had the pleasure (NOT) of hearing Horshack apologize for starting it on XRTa 690 everyday for about 3 months after the event.

Everett did not like Horshack and was looking to embarrass him. He got what he wanted.
 
Everett probably didnt want to get sued for medical costs, cuz im sure he could have ripped that little ******* apart.
 
Hey Chiribeaner, you're really Rome in disguise! Who would rather win one SB and have a mediocre carreer, than go to the HOF as one of the greatest QB of all time.
 
Rome is a short little gremlin, that needs a good "stomping" by Dan!

It has to do with Everett feeling the heat and hearing footsteps in the pocket during a game, and falling to the turf without being touched by a defender. He just went down on his own. Rome took it as a chance to question Everett's manhood, and an easy way to do that was to call him Chris, short for Chris Evert the great woman tennis player. Clever guy, that Rome. :rolleyes:
Rome deserved worse than he got, if you ask me.
