Lol! I want to see a Marino/Jim Rome Interview!

Hey Chiribeaner, you're really Rome in disguise! Who would rather win one SB and have a mediocre carreer, than go to the HOF as one of the greatest QB of all time.

Well, Brady is no Marino, and he has three rings...No offense to anybody who loves Marino, I told you, he was a good thrower...But to answer your question....Yes, I would rather have a ring than a HOF career...because at the end of the day, people will remind the hall of famer that he didn't win it all, and that my friend is painful.

Just like us fans, we enjoyed having Marino throw all those magnificent games...but when reminded he didn't win it all, we feel sorry for him....I don't know if many people feel sorry for Dilfer because he had a mediocre career....that's because he did go ahead and win the SB win...

You see, there is a way to compare things...why do you do something...to get personal, individual recognition, or to get the ultimate goal...Its easy to forget that Marino played for something and he never got it. Probably wasn't all his fault either, but he sure was part of the equation...

Ohhh, and by the way, I really hate Jim Rome, but I wish I was him...YOU KNOW HOW MUCH THAT dumba$$ gets paid, I wish!!!

But he is a serious imbecil as far as I am concerned...I am a big soccer fan, can you imagine me liking him? he disses soccer like it is a crapy sport....he deserves bad things for bad comments, but as far as I am concerned, he is entitled to his opinion and if his opinions makes us mad, he is winning the battle, don't you see???

It came up once when I was out in LA talking w/ some folks who worked on the network and were around the story at the time, and that's how I heard....no sorry, no link or whatever, but I'm just telling you the deal.

It's actually pretty widely known, I am surprised so many people still think it was real.

BTW, the blair witch project was also fake :)

I don't think so, Marino will always be remembered, who the F......k is Dilfer!

Rome is right...Marino is Mr. I never won a Super Bowl. There is nothing he has said that is untrue. As much as I loved seeing Marino play and I still believe he was a great player at his posistion, he still is ringless and will be haunted by that forever.

Rome is nothing but a negative airplay opportunist piece if crap with a little man’s complex and he is that way with nearly everyone, if NOT everyone.

Dan is ALSO a wonderful family man and philanthropist…but you never hear THOSE things from Rome.

For the time being, it's good to have something to gloat about (MARINO), but when Miami wins a Super Bowl, you'll see how quickly Marino's records begin to be left in the back burner. I watch the game to see my team win....the super bowl, not just make the playoffs and exit quickly...sadly, we need to take comfort in things like....records???!!!!

I disagree…Marino will be honored and a cherished here long after our next ring…whenever it comes. Much like when Steve Young won a superbowl…9ner fans didn’t just forget about Montana.

I would trade all his records and legacy for one super bowl in hi tenure...Honest to God I could care less if Marino has all the records and was the most gifted QB....I want the Lombardy Trophy not a loser QB with a bunch of records...Just my opinion.

Just for the record, I listen to Romey, but he is still an a$$. He is genious for making so much bank by being an a$$, but an a$$ just the same. BTW;
Dick Butkus never won a superbowl either.... I bet Rome wouldnt call him out, and I doubt anybody will remember that dude that won the superbowl with the ravens over Marino. Superbowl is a team thing, Hall is a great thing.

You contradict yourself if you truly believe that people are going to remember Trent Dilfer over Dan Marino because he has a ring.

:shakeno: I never said that...please read carefully....don't think with your heart, think with your brain.

Ohhh, I'm not doubting Marino as a person, never have and never will....He can be Mr. Philantropist...still no super bowl ring.

Ohh, and by the way MONTANA DID WIN A FEW SUPER BOWLS...and THAT, is why nobody forgets about him...real bad example

You are right...bad exaample.

Trent Dilfer won one and everyone STILL remembers that he was not very good.

But he has a ring doesn't he.

Let me ask you a question...What do you want the dolphins to do? Why do you follow them so much? Why are you such a loyal fan?

I am using my brain, unfortunatly only 1/2 of it right now...LOL

I DO see and respect your opinions. I aso agree that I'd rather have SB wins than a HOF (any-position player). What I disagree with, is the thought that Marino's greatness will go on the back-burner when we win a SB...I think it will just go up there right with it.

Yeah, maybe you are right, and between us, I love Marino, wouldn't have wanted anything more tahn see him win the SB, hell man, I am as big a Phin fan as the next guy...I sat through every game, except the last two of last season :( .

His records are a thing of beauty, what I want to express is how blinded many Miami fans have been with Marino being the best this and that, while our own division could care less about records and have gone to forget about anything of the past and concentrate on the future. In other words, until fans don't let Marino and the Dupers and the Clayton, etc. etc. as Miami's Face, this team ain't going nowhere.

Now Saban, there is the face of the organization, Im in new Orleans, Ive seen pleanty of him, he will definitely make everyone see the light. Hopefully sooner rather than later.

Again Chiribean, who the F...........K is dilfer, Oh I know , a ****tty QB!!!!

Chiribean, this is the wrong place for Marino bashing, you need to go AWAY!
