The Jets have no shot IMO....QB'ing will be the downfall.

and also say that miami had the worst Oline in the league, I also think we are a better team and tougher to beat now.We beat the Pats last year, should've beaten them twice but the refs didn't helped, beat Playoff teams in San Diego, Colts, Pats, Steelers (Almost made the playoffs) and the Bengals ( I can't recall if they made the playoffs). We also played very well against the Panthers which were one of the better NFL teams. This was with bad OC coaching and bad 2nd half coaching by Philbin. I know our chances are a lot better if Lazor is an improvement over Sherman.

Chance of ending drought soon: Poor. [/B] Only a season-long intestinal virus would keep the Patriots from winning the AFC East. Beating out the Jets and Bills will be no picnic, either, never mind the other AFC contenders if they do make the cut
Does this guy actually realize last year, going into the last two games, Miami was in the drivers seat to make the playoffs...yes I know they choked bigtime, but....
1. Miami had the huge distraction of Bullygate. Unless something else pops up, no chance this year.
2. Miami had an O-line that....well, was pretty offensive. At the very least, Miami should improve a bit more with better Tackles.
3. Miami had an O-coordinator in Sherman that stopped his QB from moving around (Forced him to stay in pocket), thought nobody would pickup on the brilliant Go...GoGo, and rarely when the Offense was driving, and had a 3rd and short, would he run the ball for an easy 1st down. At the very least Lazor will put the offense in better positions to succeed, and not try to overthink himself by getting cute.
4. Miami last year, in preseason 1st lost for the season the receiving threat they were counting on most in Keller, then lost for the season the receiver that looked to be their best redzone threat in Binns, then finally during the season lost again for the season their most consistent receiver in Gibson. This year they are again starting from scratch, and will be even deeper at receiver. Injuries could again hit the team, but with a deeper receiving roster, and the know that losing that many players for the season again will be tough, Miami should be ok here.
5. Miami at DB had as many potential starters hurt or not playing, as they did starters. This year Miami will be deeper in their secondary, and possibly better.
6. Miami last year did not do as well against the run as prior years. Miami did lose Soliai, but in moving Misi to the Middle, it could help against the run enough to do better then last year.
This Miami team is more improved then last years team that had many things going against it, but according to this guy, Miami's chances at reaching the playoffs are poor....ok, did not even mention Tannehill will be one year more experienced, or that Tannehill and Wallace have finally been connecting, but OK, everyone has an opinion...no matter how off it may be.
Things run in cycles. Some of us old farts remember when the Saints, Niners & Falcons sucked every year. If you compare our 13 year drought to some of these teams, we haven't had much to complain about.
Just look at Pittsburgh Steelers. They started playing football in 1933. Their first playoff appearance was in 1947, where they lost to the Eagles. Guess when the Steelers won their first playoff game? 1972, the same year we went Perfect......The Steelers first playoff win EVER was in the Immaculate Reception game where Franco Harris caught the deflection off the Raider's defender. They have won SIX Superbowl rings since then. You just have to keep the faith.
