Sounds about right to me too, the more we play Williams the more people remember how amazing he is and forget about his headcase habits, this allows Brown to mature nicely his first year an be brought along without huge pressure on his shoulders and if we do get rid of Williams in a trade next year he will have a good years experience.

I agree. Ricky is a vet with unbelievable rb skills/ability. This is a good thing all around. Remember, RBs have a limited shelf life due to the pounding they take. With Ronnie having relatively few carries in college and his first pro-year, he will have a LOT of tread on the tires as he enters his sophomore season and really starts to find his groove. Plus realistically Ricky has a better chance at helping us win games now. Boosting his trade value, if thats what we do with him, is just icing on the cake.

If we gonna trade Ricky next year, after we showcase him this year, we still gonna get almost nothing for him, other teams will use the theory that Ricky is not reliable therefore we are coming back to square one, in the same position of value that we are today. I personally believe that Ricky should stay with the dolphins. I know what Ricky can deliver on the football field, Brown still a great prospect. Ricky and Brown together can create a very good combination.

Agreed. he is worth more than anyone will realistically offer for him. The most I could see us getting for him would be a third and he is worth more than that to us even with Ronnie in the backfield. Injuries happen and carries addup on a rb. With Ricky handling part of the load, both will be fresh at the end of the season and when one or the other gets hot Saban can play his best back that day.

- Brown needs to get into camp. Saban has been very understanding through the press , with signing bonus and what not. What if Brown comes in like Roth & Crowdwer? Those guys are just now beginning to understand the position and scheme. I know that RB is said to be the postion you can plug in the quickest.

IMO - Brown's agent is not playing the hand very well. Gordon can play. RW looks really , really good. If he keeps holding out , comes in and looks lost , RW cames back and looks good with the vets Gordon , Minor & Morris spelling him...

Also in my IMO , I think there will be an injury or a suspension that would move Brown up into the backup spot. He better be a stud , because Cadilac has been in camp with Tampa and will be the starting back.

What happens if you trade Brown and Ricky decides he wants to retire again? Oh thats right, back at square one.

Maybe just maybe Ronnie will play so good in the first 4 weeks that Saban will say "Ricky, Who?". Well not in those words but you get the point.

You don't get insurance unless you need it, and if you need it then there is no way in "H" "E" double hockey sticks that you trade that insurance.

If anyone is traded it will be Williams.

Great point. If the guy can come back and produce , why not roll with him? With his age and background , there wouldn't be a blockbuster trade for him. Maybe a 3? Or a 2 from a desperate team on a bad day? I would keep him and then he could be rotated with Brown. Everyone forgets about injuries , which is possible. Can you get that kind of talent in the 2nd or 3rd rounds? Odds are high against.
