correct. I'm referring to what the Steelers are paying RussDenver is still paying $35M of Wilson's contract in 2024
They pay an additional $49M of Wilson's contract in 2025

I put Russ at 9. Zach blows. lolWhat about Jimmy G and Mariota? Please take Zach Wilson off this list. Don't want that assclown anywhere near the Dolphins.
That would be perfect, Jimmy G and Tua could each play half of a seasonI put Russ at 9. Zach blows. lol
Jimmy G might be more fragile than Tua. Dude gets hurt every season
We don't need another Tua for crying out loud, let alone someone that is liable to break in half as well...Get the exact same qb as Tua, just 20 pounds lighter, 1 inch shorter, uninjured and three whole rounds later in Dillon Gabriel.
Disclaimer: We certainly could get our backup through the draft but I'd rather go OL(!!)/EDGE/DL/S heavy in this draft and give Tua one more shot with a (hopefully) more competent OL
Huntley had us excited for 1 game against the abysmal Browns and unfortunately showed us who he really is vs the Jets. And I never want to hear Skylar's name spoken again within this organization..or Tim Boyle...or Mike White.
With Tua likely to miss multiple games next year just based on historical realities, let's see who we could sign
I'd also add Kirk Cousins who will be cut and come in super cheap and Aaron Rodgers who the Jets could part ways with
Out of this group, I'd be "interested" in order ( remember, these are backups)
1)Rush (will probably be the most expensive of this list?)
2)Flacco (best pure passer, don't know how he'd fare behind a bad OL)
3)Fields (would bring some excitement)
4)Rodgers (he's annoying but in 2 or 3 games, he could be valuable)
5)Cousins (old and slow but could be valuable in 2 or 3 games, cheap)
6)Dalton (see Cousins)
7)Winston (lots of TDs, and yards.. but also lots of INTs)
8)Dobbs (i like his mobility)
9)Wilson (moonball lol.. we're getting desperate at this point)
Sounds good to me.Cousins is the best poker player in the NFL. Made hundreds of millions based on stats. What has he WON? He would want 15 million minimum. Steps down in big games. Flacco is the only one I’d want, especially at what would be super fair dinkum for his talent.. reasonable cost. I don’t believe guys like Rodgers are realistic. He’ll want to start. For 28 million. I’d rather use one of the compensatory 3rd rounders.
I honestly think the odds of any of those guys doing better than a 2nd-3rd round rookie are pretty much even... While the rookie will cost significantly less.
Yes, yes we would have. - LOLYou had me with Al Bundy. You would have really had me with Kelly Bundy. Could have saved a lot of typing.
Like not be a "Lemming"? - LOLhey, you're talking to the guy who is willing to trade the farm for Cam WardI'd do terrible things to have Ward as our QB.
I dont like anyone else in this draft until maybe Kyle McCord later in the draft

Really bad QB class IMO. I dont see much
We can't take a gamble. We need a PROVEN QB when Tua inevitably (I obviously hope he doesnt) get hurt. It's gotta be a Flacco-like guy who we know can come in keep the offense humming
If we take this approach, I'd need to see a drafted late round QB for developmental purposes.I keep Huntley as a third string then bring in either Fields, Jimmy G, Winston or Marriota for second string.
I do like Davis Mills as well just not sure as a second string. Might bring him in to complete with Huntley for third.
