Looking Back on the Brandon Marshall Trade

It's been awhile now. Get over it already. We can't change what happened, it's over, it's time to move on. Why are you rehashing something that will not change. We get it, you hate Philbin, and Ireland. Well, Ireland is gone and Philbin is here. Stop crying about it.

It's May. There's not much football wise to discuss. You always have the option of not participating if you don't like the subject matter. Believe it or not, FinHeaven doesn't revolve around you.

Rookie QB + Rookie Coach = Marshal trade.

Marshal yelling at Henne on the sidelines sealed his fate.

Why you people keep crying over it, idk. Move on.

I agree. People should not look at the on field productions only. There is also team chemistry in play as well. Same can be said about Denver's trade.

Like Brandon Marchall said himself the trade saved his career. If he stayed, he won't be as good, probably he would have been troubles in the locker room too.

It was a horrible trade and I went berserk when we made it. From my perspective:

- BM wasn't as big a distraction here as people like to make out
- He put up big numbers here even w crap-ass QBs throwing to him
- We left ourselves so vulnerable at WR for the 2012 season - as in no number 1 receiver - unacceptable
- BM is a top 3 WR in the league (C Johnson, AJ Green)

Now, on the flip side there is a part of me that wonders if he was here for RT's rookie year would he have had a negative effect on the QBs development. The guy is like a reception junkie. If he doesn't get 10 throws in his direction a game he kinda acts like a d-bag.

Soooo...I don't think I mind they we traded him - it's that we got Jack for him. Two thirds was not good value. Getting him for 2 2nds was a steal. Think about this - NE got a number 1 for Deon Branch from Seattle...

That's right! No sharing your inner thoughts unless you're certain it matters to EVERYONE! If not, keep it to yourself. What is this a forum?

Crying about **** from 2012, is the epitome of crying over spilt milk.

Paging Ms. Oprah, a patient in aisle 9 needs help getting over things.

I don't even want to imagine what Marshall's involvement would have been with the whole Ingoc/Martin ordeal.

Put it this way ..... that trade was so bad the franchise was practically a Darren Sharper rape victim.
