Over the past few weeks, some people here that didn't want us to draft Quinn (or at least, didn't want to move up to draft him) used as their reasoning that Culpepper was the better short-term answer. Meaning, if we had any chance of winning next season, it would be w/ 'Pepper at the helm, rather than a rookie.

Now that it at least - appears - that we are in rebuilding mode (who knows for sure!), does this change anyone's opinion? Assuming we are rebuilding, it'll take about three years to get where we want to go, leaving now injury plagued Culpepper three years older by then. If that's the case, do we sell the house to get Brady at all costs now?

I'm for Brady no matter what, but I'd like to know if anyone has changed their minds now, given recent events.

it has kind of changed my opinion because im not an irish fan and i really didnt want quinn in an phins uni but now since we are rebuildin and trying to get younger, i woodnt really mind it because he has good tools to be a good qb and we kind of need a qb lol BUT im not in favor for trading up and getting him. i dont wanna trade up at all unless its for calvin

Nope...still don't want him. Certainly wouldn't move up to get him!

nope. I will not order sunday ticket if we trade up to get quinn.

if he's there at nine than so be it. If he's as good as everyone says he is he won't be there. Whether your most pressing need is qb or not, if he is franchise material as his supporters say he is, he would be an upgrade for most of the teams with a top ten pick.

that being said, I am drafting landry.

should culpepper come back healthy he has said he want to play six or seven more years. I don't even consider us to be rebuilding at this point. We have gotten rid of some dead weight and a #3WR who just so happened to be an average KR.

The three areas we need to work on the most are OL, SOLB and secondary.
drafting landry helps a lot. landry/bell at S move allen to corner along side daniels. we would be looking pretty good on D with a solid OLB added to our corps already.

WE just gotta sit and be patient and see what cam and mueller do next.
so far I have to admit I am liking the face lift.

After the first two days of free agency I now believe that Quinn will go to DET at #2 overall.

DET added a RT via trade. They have Backus who mans LT. And they added Tatum Bell to compliment Kevin Jones.

They wont pass on their future QB.

Even if they did? There would be no reason to trade up. He would then slip to #9. There is no teams between DET and MIA that would draft Quinn.

Also DET has the 34th overall pick where they will have their choice of several OLB/DEs or several C/Gs available. Quinn is going to DET at #2.

OAK- Russell
DET- Quinn
CLE- Peterson
TB- Johnson
ARI- Thomas
WAS- Adams
MIN- Anderson
HOU- Branch
MIA- Brown?Landry?Okoye?Ginn?

NO trading up for him.GO DOLPHINS!!

I don't see him going top 5 dom.

Oakland- Russell
Detroit- Thomas
Cleveland- Peterson
Tampa Bay- Johnson
Arizona- I don't know, but certainly won't get a QB

The team I worry about is Houston. I could really see Quinn falling to us though especially if the Texans are unable to move Carr and the Vikings have faith in Jackson as their QB. I expect Quinn to be a Dolphin.

That's a good point about Backus, but I could still see them going with Thomas. Another thing that could shake it up would be if the Jets did end up getting that second pick from Detroit for Jonathan Vilma.

Houston is more likely to draft Quinn than Detroit. They have no faith in Carr and if they don't pick up anyone in FA, it would make sense. Leave Carr in to start the season, then put the rookie in when Carr does his usual sub-par performance.

Detroit will not pick Quinn, IMO.

i guess i may be the only one who disagrees that we're in rebuild mode .. i mean that would totally contradict the "win now!" attitude our owner wanted .. i mean just because we're trying to stock pile draft picks doesn't mean we're rebuilding .. just means that the coach and GM see the mess that they've inherited and are trying to fill as many holes as possible with it .. even if it means letting go of our shining lights from our team .. i;d love it if we pulled a playoff team out of our backsides
