Loser of Garrard-Moore battle could be cut

Unless you are over the cap, you don't cut valuable assets. This is the NFL and QBs get hurt all the time. I would hold on to both as long as i could in case another team comes calling about a trade. It doesn't matter if Tannehill is #2 of #3, he shouldn't be playing. He's not ready.
Whether Tanny is ready to play is another argument. Im just saying that if you do keep both then hindering Tannehills development by cutting his reps as a 3rd stringer would be a disservice to the future of our franchise.

Denver has been the trade I've been calling since even before the Draft. Lots of good reasons.

However, I spoke with Cecil Lammey of ESPN Radio Denver about it and he's convinced they have no Plan B, everything is balls to the wall Peyton and Osweiler.

.... So we can be balls to the wall with Garrard/Tanny or Moore/Tanny but they can't with Manning/Osweiler?

I would think the logical decision is to keep Moore or Garrrard (not both). The need to develop Tannehill almost dictates this. IMO we should keep Tannehill and Devlin as backups. And then next year Tannehill and Devlin, and we draft a 3rd string QB.

You don't have to keep both the entire year, just a little into the season to see what happens with other teams....or one gets hurt. Then you make the call. That leaves Tannehill with more reps the rest of the year. That being said, the backup barely gets any time during the season, so if Tannehill or the backup or not, he's not going to be missing a lot. And if the Phins are completely out of it late in the season, they could always get him game reps then regardless of who's still here.

Obviously if we trade a qb for wide outs (plural), that would be just awesome.

I think we keep all 3 QBs and we put De. vlin on the PS. RT is nowheo
re r)eady to face NFL defenses. Philbin and Ross want to win. RT will get his chance if the season goes south or next year. Just my. 02

If the Dolphins do decide to trade a qb, which team(s) is deep at the wr position and thin in the qb spot - if this scenario does actually happen?

Outside of an injury to their starting QB, I don't see any team trading for Matt Moore or David Garrard. I also don't see the Dolphins being concerned with Tanny being the number 2. If they are, they had no business drafting him. Keep in mind that after acquiring Pennington, Henne was designated the backup in his rookie year and Ireland was comfortable with that. The ceiling with Tanny is much higher.

Look for it to be ___________, Tannehill, Devlin.

i see miami trying to trade moore...if they can...if not he's cut...tannehill worst case should start the season the backup...lets see if garrard can take a hit though...

And also Moore doesn't practice well, so that doesn't bode well for him in a offense when timing will be an issue.
