Loser of Garrard-Moore battle could be cut

In all seriousness .....

If you cut/trade Moore you're stuck with the 35 year old Garrard as your backup eventually if Tannehill is handed the reings at some point in the season or next year. Why would you want that as opposed to a capable younger guy like Moore?

I just don't see the team going into the season without 2 veterans. Garrard will likely be the starter in game 1. During the season, if DG stays healthy, MM will be dealt.

No one is getting cut, if anything traded and thats a big IF.

Both Moore and Garrard are coming cheap, you gain nothing from cutting either QB. Both of them know Tanny is the future and it's only a matter of time until he starts (if its this season or the next).

See with the age factor on Garrard, I doubt anyone trades for that guy.

If there's not much real pressure to 'win now' then why not leave Tannehill as your #2 and if Garrard gets hurt then you're just letting Tanny take his lumps and learn. It sucks though because Long is then another year older as well as Dansby. If you're not going anywhere now, then get value for Dansby. I'd also consider trading Long if the value is astronomical. In a true rebuild you need to be able to draft a lot of #1s and #2 round picks. Even more fans would jump ship but the team is in a tough position right now. If they realize that their talent level is suspect compared to their competition, then a full rebuild will have to happen. I still think that you went in the direction of rebuild when you let Marshall go for a 3rd rnd pick. Third round picks become NFL starters less than 30% of the time. When Marshall was gone, the 'Phins became a less talented team, period. Talent isn't everything but other teams fear it.
It's hard to see this team being better than anyone in our division. I think Miami has to consider trading anyone that can net them elite talent in the future.
