Love Patriots Week 1

Just like the first game against the Pats in 2013 took a season-ending injury to our best receiver up to that point and some help from the Refs to help the Pats come from behind and beat us. See, it works both ways.

The 2 situations weren't even comparable. The dolphins completely imploded in the 2nd half of that game. If anything, it was an indictment of Philbin as a gameday coach, since he was incapable of adjusting to BB's half time adjustments.

The Patriots didn't completely implode in the game they lost in Miami. They came a Michael Thomas finger short of making the comeback.

Ok, so im not going to get into a pissing contest of what happened between the two teams over the last 10+ years. I find that silly since the average nfl player lasts what, 3 years. What I am excited about is NE does come out of the gates slow and pick up steam as the season goes on. Im excited its at home and since its season opener the stands should be more packed. Im excited that itll be hot as hell and September in NE isn't. That part is biology, the Miami players will be more used to it.

So last year we should have won the first won and did win the second. We now have our best advantage, home in September, versus the Patsies. Ill take it.

no gronk would be nice

Not that I fear the Gronk, but I fear Miami will once again NOT address the Gronk coverage that is necessary. let's also not forget that a huge help the Pats had in the first game last year was the refs. It's indisputable they took the pats side.

I hope Gronk plays so then we can see what we got against their full team.

While it's good we get them early and at home (heat advantage), it sucks that we have to go up to NE in mid December late in the season. The only saving grace on all this is that 3 of our last 4 games are at home in December. If we cannot use that to our advantage, then we are in big trouble this year!

If we can't beat them at home in September at 1pm then we won't win the east.

The last time the Patriots lost their season opener?

2003. A DECADE ago.

And that was the Bledsoe Bowl the year Bledsoe joined the Bills. There was a lot of emotion and motivation that went in there. Ty Law had also been cut a week or two before that game and joined the Bills, so he had intel.

You may be excited, but I bet you won't be in the 4th Quarter when BB and Tom Terrific are doing their usual Week 1 heroics.

I hate the start of this schedule. Things could tank in a hurry... :(

Close, Lawyer Milloy. Ty Law never played for the Bills.

Should be good the last game was great. Hopefully we improve as much as new England did. The revis signing was good

Saw this photo on twitter, they are selling in Key West right now. Dredged up this old thread , didn't feel it warranted a new one over a photo.

Also lets not forget we had them week one in the Miami heat in 2011 (albeit at night) and it was our guys who wilted in the heat. If that happens again Philbin should be let go right after the game. I know that was Tony's team but it's inexcusable for any team to come into Miami in September and handle the heat better then the home team.
