Lucky for Fins they play in the AFC..

Wow it looked like the Cardinals were gonna get a chance and that the falcons were going to upset the niners. So close, but then that interception and bam the niners won. If niners lost, the Cardinals would've controlled their destiny, but since niners won, chances are pretty slim as the cardinals would have to beat the niners and saints lose to bucaneers. It's in new orleans and I can't see the saints losing at home for a game they need to win.

Kind of off topic, but am I the only person here who desperately wants the Rams to pull out a win next week against Seattle and force them to take the 5 seed?

I would love nothing more than to see that fraudulent, roided up Seahawks team exposed on the road in the playoffs. The Packers with Aaron Rodgers are going to ****ing crush them if that happens.

Yep. Those PEDs arent nearly as effective on the road.

In my experience, home teams simply get more favorable officiating. When your entire defensive strategy is to hold like crazy, it helps.

The Foxboro effect.

Yep especially for the patriots. The Ravens get a lot of calls too though.

Don't kid yourself, when we played the Patriots two weeks ago here in Miami, we got some calls, too. Or rather, we got some no calls. After being absolutely mugged by the refs up in the Patriots' house.

Home Field Advantage is real.

for once. It seems like even games in Miami there have been calls go against and to the visiting team. More often than not, the patriots get calls their way more often home or away, though more often when they play at home. Even though the patriots beat down the ravens, the refs at Baltimore called an awful PI call against the Ravens early in the game and helped pats get right to the goalline and their first td.

The truth is there is no conspiracy against us it's just the bad calls against us are magnified in our memories because we're always struggling and those bad calls have a big negative impact against us than against a team who is dominating.

I don't think it's a "conspiracy" but you will never convince me that the 2010 Roethlisberger fumble was an honest call.

I'm sorry. There's no way that the referee can look at the multiple video angles -- which were shown to him under that hood -- and say that there was no conclusive evidence of a recovery. It's clear as day on two angles. And boy were they quick to signal touchdown there. I mean, really?

I'm not pleased with how miami played against the Bills, but after that I, like others, have focused on the fins chances in getting into the playoffs still, which the chances are fairly decent. But looking at the nfl, it made me think how I'm glad miami wasn't in the nfc here. Here fins ravens and chargers, whoever gets in, will be in at 9-7 most likely. Meanwhile, the Cardinals, because of tiebreakers against them can be 11-5 and still not get in to the playoffs. Probably one of the best records I've seen from a team to not get in the playoffs, while a 9-7 team gets in for the AFc. Our fins would have been long gone for any playoff chance if in the NFC right now, well unless they were in the NFC East or NFC North fighting for the division, but WC..nope.

Philly is 9-6 and in first place. Chicago is 8-7 and in first place. That's mediocrity in half of the division leaders in the NFC.

When Miami made it in 08, the Patriots were 11-5, and didn't make it.
