Luke Kuechly on Tannehill: "He made some incredible throws"

29th in espn's qbr. thats the real gauge because it takes into account clutch play, not having good stats the first 3 quarters then folding in the 4th like the passer rating stat does. 29th! how can ANYONE on here defend that or say hes making progress??

EJ Manuel is 28, sounds about right.

He's inconsistent. Inconsistency is unreliability. Unreliability is below average. Below average is ineffective. Ineffective means loss. Loss means ...

But don't fret ... I'm sure he'll get another year. At which time we'll have a much clearer picture.

And this is where I stand. And draft another Qb in the process cant hurt. But clearly this team had probs on OLine and our stud TE got dismatled forever by a rookie douche.

I am not of the believe to just give up on someone because they are not elite yet. He is ahead of RGIII and is reletively close to Luck in many regards. It takes a long time to figure out the big picture as your inproving on facets with consistency.

Wallace next year will be better from the start as well as being in sync. With an Oline and a pure big TE, things get easier and Sims/Egnew should be more in the mix. I am just not giving up on the future based on a second year QB who is doing no worse than many vets out there.

The underthrow criticism is hilarious. Yesterday he delivered an accurate, catchable football 60+ yards in the air, consistently. 3 of 4 tries. That's very good.

On one of those he was running out on a bootleg to his right. As CK says, that is a rare throw. On the miss, he is scrambling up in the pocket to avoid pressure and 'lets it rip.' Overthrown by a yard or two. On the last play of the game, he delivers the ball to about the opposing 3 yard line from his own 33 when he is about to take a hit so hard he can't even step into the throw. The ball hits Mike Wallace in the hands. That's an impressive play.

It's like we are living in a fantasy land where we choose to rip on the guy for one aspect of his game that was actually good yesterday, and then we totally ignore the interception and the terrible almost interception. Those plays were awful. They were really bad. And nobody is bringing them up except for me, the homer.

And how fast was the wind blowing? That can make a big difference whether or not the ball is a little long or sbort.

look at the bottom of the espn qbr and tell me who currently resides in it....its the best quarterback grading system you will find. but of course because tannehill pretty much is mediocre and average, at best, you'll dismiss it. denial is not a river in egypt my friend.

Wow. Referencing ESPN's QBR and that lame "denial" joke in one post? Congratulations sir, on such an incredibale amount of fail in one small post.

All most broke my computer reading the opening parts of the article:

I will pick the play just before halftime, when the Carolina offense came to the line to find the Dolphins secondary was setting up in a galaxy far, far away.

"And then they rushed six, I think,'' Carolina center Ryan Kalil said.

Which meant …

"The middle of the field was just wide open,'' receiver Brandon LeFell said.

Coyle you idiot!

Wow, I got a thumbs down for pointing out that Wallace and Matthews catching balls has a lot to do with the QB, and not just them? I would think this is a no brainer, not a subject of controversy.

Wow, I got a thumbs down for pointing out that ESPN's QBR is completely irrelevant and only a fool would referance it and that stupid "denial" joke is and always will be one of the lamest ever thought up? I would think this is a no brainer, not a subject of controversy.

Troll elsewhere little lady.

Calm down. If you're that sensitive, then don't randomly thumb down other people's posts.

Well, at least now there's some context to your thumbs down. Pettiness. Great quality in a woman. Let me know how that works out for you.

Randomness? I only thumbs down stupidity. Every thumbs down in this thread was earned.
