Lynch may be put on IR

TE is a position that typically has a high learning curve. Much more is asked of professional TE's than the simplified roles used in college. Lynch is a solid prospect with very good pass protection and run blocking potential as well as a big strong target for the red one.

Given that Dion Sims has done a good job of improving significantly this offseason, this move doesn't deprive us of our only TE with size.

If he truly is injured, or if we want to keep one of Brackett or Hoskins, this move makes sense.

I had a feeling he would end up being placed on IR a while ago. It would be a good idea too , that would open a roster spot. He hasn't played at all in preseason.
