Madison vs. Surtain

I like Madison a whole lot, b/c how much ish he talks, but Surtain is easily the better corner now, Madison is still up there, but is declining. Also Madison's dumb penalties get annyoing, but I still love him as a player. For the team I would have traded Madison if there were no contracts.

The safety change had to happen because he was letting the big plays happen. Bates/Wanny had to make the change to cover for a slowing Madison.

But that's why you have safties, right? If you're going to run a press coverage you have to have compitenst safties. Miami is one of the few teams that I know of that could primarily work in man coverage because of Sam and Pat.

Just becaus one of your shut down corners is loing a step does not mean he is a prolem. A shut down corner in this league is hard enough to find. You adjust your scheme to compensate for that weakness. Unfortunately for us our safties were not compitent enough to read those situations(fast enogh).

I think Madison answered any "he's losing a step" talk with last season's performance.....perhaps his best thus far. Don't forget...many plays the 'year' in ? where the safety blew coverage Madison was blamed for 'losing a step' as he tried to pick the guy up (see New England game @ home with Brock...NE winning TD in OT where 'Sam' got burned....it was Brock) My only complaint with him now is his stupid penalties....which thankfully were less last year then the year before.

it's wanny's f***up on giving madison a new contract last year!!!

we should have reworked pat's contract seeing how madison play was declining
in front of our eyes these past years... i think the trade was under valued
but i beleive in saban and he's got bigger plans!!!! i guess we'll find out tommo
