I think you guys are way off on this one. I think statistically speaking we would have a better chance of making the playoffs by guaranteeing a Ravens loss rather than a Dolphins win. If the Ravens were to run the table it would make it damn near impossible for us to get in....and it's not like Miami can't win on their own. If we were to beat the Pats and the Ravens were to win also, guess what? They are still the 6th seed. I would almost go so far to say that it's a fact a Baltimore loss is more beneficial. I think Dolphin pride is getting in the way here.

The way I read your question, it seems to me like you have more faith in the Phins winning on their own, than the Ravens losing on their own. For the record, I too would take the Phins win - this team has an ABYSMAL record vs. the Brady/Belichek Patriot teams.

dolphins are 2 point underdogs. ravens are 6 point underdogs. so baltimore is more likely to lose this week than miami. so you take the miami win since its more likely the ravens lose anyway.

Oh really? I'd take the win...

Because I have zero faith in the Dolphins anymore. I go into games expecting us to **** up horribly somehow. Seasons too... the Dolphins do just well enough to get everybody's hopes up, and then crash and burn.

Um.....not really. I don't expect us to win or anything. Should be a good game. I just think it would be a nightmare if we won out and still didn't get in due to the Ravens winning out also. The only thing that is for damn sure is if we don't finish with a better record than the Ravens are chances are slim to none....and it's almost certain that we need at least one Ravens loss to get in. As a Fins fan it's easy to pick us for the guaranteed win...that doesn't make it the smartest move though. If the Ravens were to get a guaranteed loss and we pull one out against the Pats...we would then control our own destiny again. Right now we do not.
