Mando Article on Martin Situation

Cant wait to not see him in a Dolphins uni next year. Hypocrite, crybaby, quitter, not to mention he's a crappy tackle. This offensive line is getting a massive facelift Next year.

What I fear here is that this will turn into the Saints bounty program situation. Everyone knows that rookie hazing, rookie day, and all kinds of shenanigans go on with NFL teams, but the NFL will seek to make an example out of one team in order to avoid an outcry or prevent future legal liabilities.

Just like everyone knew about 'pay for performance.'

You have just hit the nail on the head. A reporter who started a series of events that causes something like this is rewarded, revered and respected in the journalism profession. It would be a feather in Schefter's hat, whether the initial stories are true or not.

What's a REAL SHAME in this situation is the people who are making Cogs out to be some maniacal, sadistic freak -- without of shred of real evidence. Just in their own imagination, trying him in the court of public opinion. Shame, shame, shame. Character assassination and hiding behind a keyboard is about 1000 times worse than NFL players joking around w. each other -- even hazing each other. Those who have been there -- on a team -- know that each team develops chemistry and relations in non-typical ways. It's not like some sissy-boy sewing circle, sitting around knitting and gossiping and singing kumbaya at night, holding hands while going to the restroom and waving kisses goodnight. Newsflash: ITS A FREEKIN' FOOTBALL TEAM of grown men in a VIOLENT SPORT.

Atypical, non-verbal weeding out and character analysis happens ON A DAILY BASIS.

The more I hear of this, the more firmly I am convinced that Cogs is only guilty of 1. Being a manly man, and 2. A throwback player.

Martin is guilty of being a non-standup man in a violent man's sport. No wonder his play suffers. Built like Tarzan, mentally made up like Jane.

Wasted second round pick. And give that a thumbs down -- you who know who you are.

Incognito has an anger issue. There was an interview from where I don't remember but he is medicated because of his anger issues if I remember correctly. He didn't get his reputation in the NFL for being dirty because it was something people felt like giving him. He EARNED it.

Last year I used to say I was shocked a man as big as Martin was so physically weak! This year I say I am shocked he is so mentally weak! Just release him and move on!

That is on the field. Many players "flip a switch" and play angry. The best players, in fact. One team won a championship when the coach emphasized, "YOU HAVE TO PLAY ANGRY."

Personally, an NFL team that is non-angry is not-feared. Milquetoast teams do really well in this league, right? Not.

Quit bagging on Cogs for being an NFL player w. a mean streak. And put the blame for this situation squarely where it lies: On a mentally troubled, soft player who passive-aggressively blames the team for his own issues.

Samuda should claim Martin's intimidation did now allow him to block well in the preseason. LAWSUIT.

Incognito has a pretty long history of being a borderline individual, but at the same time, absolutely nothing about the way Jon Martin has handled this situation makes sense as the narrative is being presented.

That said, the way this has gotten out of control is just further proof that the BS Parcells 'don't say or address anything' mindset this organization is still stuck with is never going to be helpful in this kind of situation.

So basically we know ZERO !!!! This is sounding more and more like reporters trying to make something out of nothing. If Martin takes legal action that is one thing, but so far this is just a player having a mental break down. He isn't suing the team or asking for ANYTHING. He has already told his teammates this isn't about them.

We really need to wait and see what happens. So far I have yet to see anyone involved who has done anything wrong.

From the best guess I can muster up, I'd say this "ill" Martin's just a sore loser from all of the poor performance earlier this season, losing his job, etc.
He probably couldn't face the fact of admitting he snapped in his teammates' presence in the cafeteria, so he used the "hospital check-in" as a cover-up excuse. Wouldn't be the first time a Fins player has tried to cover up their issues (Brandon Marshall McDonald's bag).
This would explain the Dolphins coaches never hearing word of bullying from him. Because he Wasn't bullied. Just routine stuff, that he Was aware of, he just couldn't take it when he fell down the depth chart.

Especially when he tweeted later "Happy Halloween. Dont believe everything you hear...". Really? So, pretending to maybe have deeper mental issues was just a facade? What's the excuse then?

This guys a joke, and he's just making the team and the coaches look bad.

Martin will be with Oprah or Katie Couric this week.

I'm just telling you what I heard. I guess the medication part doesn't have merit? Regardless, that means Suh and Haynesworth didn't earn their reputation because they had a "mean streak" too, huh?

If he was truly smart, he wouldn't be trying to prove anything by starting a twitter war. That just tells me he is a damn meathead.
