Mando: Manning is #1 Priority, phins showing no interest in Flynn

by league rules (tampering) Fins can't talk about Flynn until start of FA (new league year).

And they cant talk about players under contract with another team either, and yet they appear to be doing just that.

I rather trust a sack of potatoes than this guy...sure people say they are interested in a position but I don't even buy the peyton manning reports..until I see in breaking news on NFL network and ESPN.I trust no one with players or "head" coaches

People won't be flocking to the stadium to see Manning play horribly. But I have no problem with Miami pretending to be interested in him to drive up the price for some other dumb sucker.

Report: Dolphins sights set on Peyton Manning

A Dolphins source tells the Miami Herald that the team's offseason priority is to acquire Peyton Manning.

It makes us wonder if the Colts might pay Manning's March 8 roster bonus and try to swing him to the Dolphins in a trade. Per the Herald, the Dolphins have not even shown preliminary interest in free agent Matt Flynn. The Fins apparently believe they have a roster ready to compete for Super Bowls after the addition of a franchise quarterback. Even if it's only a quick fix.

We don't need to be talking to anyone about Flynn. I'm sure Philbins knows all he needs to know about him already. He surely knows if he is worth trying to sign and he might even know if he even wants to sign with us or what Flynn's plans are come FA.

Exactly what I was thinking. They cannot show any interest in Flynn or it would be tampering. Especially with hiring the Packers OC as our HC, it would be wise in Philbin's first week, not to break league rules. Mando is an idiot.

How is it not tampering when talking about Peyton Manning though? That's what I'm curious about.

The more I think about this, the more ridiculous it seems. Should Ireland go around screaming this is what we want to do around Mobile? Plus how does a source inside Dolphin headquarters know anything - Ireland is at the Senior Bowl and Philbin is in Wisconsin. All the scouts are in Mobile. Ridiculous!

I love how he words it with "For five days now I've been telling you the Dolphins are on the quarterback hunt -- again." He acts like he has all of these moles in the organization and always tries to make himself apart of the story. My damn grandma knows the Dolphins are looking for a quarterback. Everyone knows.

No way is Indy going to give Manning 28 million and take that cap hit with hopes of trading him.
