Mando: Ross wants changes to staff, Philbin wants to keep it intact

Ross' helicopter has just landed in Davie according to Adam Beasley.

Am I the only one that sees an issue with Ross contemplating the assistants' future? He should be able to trust his HC to do that but obviously doesn't. That's not good.

You're not the only one. While I caution everyone not to take these reports at face value as Jeff Ireland is trying to save his skin today, this stuff is VERY disturbing to me.

Can I say this? If Ross does not trust Joe to hire his staff, why is he keeping Joe has HC? Fire Philbin in that case.

I'm starting to get a Dan Snyder runs our team so we will never compete with the elite vibe.

No. This is a Ford Family vibe. Dan Snyder would have fired everyone five times over already. And replaced them with people who are even worse. And then forced us to give up three drafts for a gimmick QB who gets hurt a lot.

This is Matt Millen all over again.

Ross and Snyder are nothing alike in their ownership styles but...the results seem to be the same regardless.

I stand corrected.

Only thing I'd add at this point is that Jeff Darlington is implying that he's talked to other people inside the building and they're giving him the same story. So it looks like Joe is going to go to bat for Sherman.

I think that defending the job Mike Sherman has done as OC of this team alone should be enough to get Joe canned.

I have always been a Philbin supporter, but if he is unwilling to make changes to his staff especially Sherman...then I guess it's time for him to move on. We cannot have another year with this offensive coordinator, Coyle is not much better>
