I think that defending the job Mike Sherman has done as OC of this team alone should be enough to get Joe canned.

i don't...not if joeis basically stating that personnel was the main reason and if that's the case then i would agree with it...sherman left a lot on the table but overcoming all these personnel issues we had would have been damn hard no matter who we had calling plays...at least imo

main issue all along personnel...sherman 2nd
 
Everyone is staying. I am all for not making a knee jerk decision but Ross has taken too long at this point to make a big move. Coaches are already being hired and we would be very late to the party at this point.
I am so fed up with this staff but even more so with this chicken **** owner. Trust your gut Ross and make a damn decision, stop dancing around the issues trying not to make a mistake and just take a leap.

Like owner like team, playing not to lose.

I agree with this, but the fact is that I think Mike Sherman has still done a really bad job overall and the results bear that out.

Don't get me wrong, #1A on my list of people to be fired is Jeff Ireland, but nobody told Mike Sherman to keep calling bubble screens to Mike Wallace that we can't actually block for, or to take the QB sneak out of the playbook.

I think I like Joe for sticking up for his pal. Maybe Joe will quit because of it. I say fire everybody and hire ......

Joe had his biggest decision to make when he was hired. Who is the QB going to be was the decision and he or whoever let Sherman bend everyone's ears. It might prove to be right with RT but it was a bad sign off the start to see Joe following the leader.

Personnel cant really be a valid excuse for Sherman IMO. The reason being he was calling plays that were using the wrong personnel all season. For example against the Ravens when we were 4th and inches, he called a shotgun stretch play using Daniel Thomas. Daniel Thomas is the wrong personnel to use for that play because it is an east west speed play thus we needed Miller in there, not Thomas. Sherman put his own personnel in positions to be unsuccessful all season, then he blames the lack of effectiveness on said personnel. The play designs were so bad, that personnel alone is not the issue.

Same thing on the other side of the ball playing a 4-3 defense when we have the personnel for a 3-4 defense.
 
How can this be happening? How is this even a debate? Either Ross gets rid of everyone or we'll be in last place for years to come.
