Free agent Peyton Manning departed Broncos headquarters after visiting with club officials for six hours Friday evening.

Broncos brass gave Manning a tour of the facility, and he was personally escorted by VP of Football Operations John Elway. Our take -- admittedly pure speculation -- is that the Manning camp is flirting with the Broncos in an attempt to create leverage against the Cardinals and Dolphins. Denver is absolutely interested in signing him, but the fit is not nearly as ideal on Manning's end.

From this article on NFL.com...

"Much like with the Dolphins, other teams who have expressed interest in Manning still are waiting to hear from his camp, league sources have told La Canfora."

So maybe people shouldn't worry too much about the Phins front office not having a meeting time set up with Manning yet.

I really feel like Manning is taking his sweet time. Why not spend a day with Jon Elway. I would do the same.

Pure gamesmanship from the Manning camp. No way Manning at 36 wants to play November, December and January home games in Denver after a decade in a climate controlled dome. Add to that a young QB that the fanbase is invested in, whatever you think of his ability. The Denver show is to get Arizona and Miami to pay up. The real threat here is Arizona. 8 home games in a retractable roof stadium, one on the road in a dome (Rams), one in Northern California (SF) and one in a wet, but most likely not snowy environment. (Seattle) A top 3 WR in Fitz and if you add Reggie Wayne, you've got a pretty decent situation there. Other than the Bidwells being cheapskates, it works pretty well for Peyton.

110% agree

Elway would have never ever won a super bowl without Terrell Davis. Looking at the Broncos roster and see that Tebow is their best RB. Maybe move Tebow to FB and win a super bowl that way.

Aren't the Cardinals like 13 million over the cap? Why won't the media or anyone else address that?

He left still unsigned. That's good news for sure. Hope he checks everyone out and desides this is where he wants to be.

Dol-fans seriously we can't and wont control where he goes...we all know if there is a way Manning will be a dolphin our front office will make it happen. This is my last post until he makes a decesion.

the dolphins and cards are NOT the teams manning is driving up, its the TEXANS!!

this is where i think he is headed. if i am miami, i tell peytons agent, we want him here, we will give him what he wants, bring in reggie, clark, saturday, his mom and a moon pie. but, we want him to go to the texans and do his dance and get it all out of the way. tell him we are not going to be a leverage tool as we have been with others the last couple years.

come back ONLY if we are true place he wants to play. get the texans best deal and we will beat it. but no back and forth! take the deal the texans offer and stay or come back with their deal and we will beat it, and not with chump change.

i live in az. phoenix, as far as a city goes is one of the most DISMAL cities in the country. i was SHOCKED at how dingy and boring the down town area was expecially with phoenix being the tourist destination it is. scottsdale is popular with the young party crowd but its far, far from the south beach experiance peyton has been living in. arizona is a GREAT state. awsome weather, golf paradise, and LOTS of sports. but there is NOTHING here in the phoenix area that beats south beach.

texas has a team that truley IS a qb from the show and texas is closer to his home in miami. i think this is the team they have chosen and all the rest is condon making as much bank as he can FOR HIMSELF! [more peyton makes, the more he makes].

he is going to the texans and the flynatics will be happy when miamis true plan, bringing in flynn to man the helm.

untill they see what we end up paying for him.
