Manning met with Dolphins today in Indy for 5-6 hours

By the way, where is McMichael? I thought Manning was suppose to sign within 24 hours since he got cut? Stop hiding and show yourself!

I've never understood why ppl say this. Wayne, Harrison, Clark and the Edge back in the day are not chopped meat.

Don't get me wrong, Manning is amazing, but he has always had good receivers to throw to.
I don't totally discount the Colts receivers, just like I don't totally discount our current WRs. I'd be happy to bring on a couple of them, especially Wayne or Garcon. That doesn't change the fact that Manning makes them better, just as he'd make our current WRs better.

Great QBs make good WRs great. Not the reverse. And it's not like he'd be coming here with nothing to work with. If we can't sign any of those WRs (which I doubt will be the case), WR was a need in the draft anyways. Manning doesn't change that.

Fair points.

It would be awesome if we signed two Colt players like Wayne and Clark tomorrow, and they took a picture with an empty seat like Wade and Bosh did.

The way the Dolphins behave tomorrow will give us an idea of how the meeting went although it could also be red herring. If the Dolphins are really high on Tannehill and not Flynn then our lack of movement towards Flynn could be mistakenly perceived.

Thanks bro, I honestly haven't watched him play (Tannehill) other than highlight reels, but I sure hope the FO is right about him.

It's great to know we have options, should Peyton decline our offer!

It was reported a few days ago, that he wouldn't NEED to visit MIA's facilities. That when the visit happened it would be with Philbin, not Ross or Ireland. People in this 24 hr news cycle read too much into the minute by minute details.

Peyton will make his decision. There is nothing that will make him do it sooner or pick the home town team for whatever reason some here think.

It will happen. If you want to see the future goto a Tarut card reader and maybe a Palm reader, you might get better intel than from the MIAMI media circus.:ponder:

I like this because Philbin and Manning seem like they would see eye-to-eye. Two very cerebral, patient people.

We should fly Manning to Miami Beach so he take an eye full of all the topless babes. Then he will sign (tongue dangling). :chuckle:

You just read the Herald article didnt you? :)
That article made the interesting point that Philben is a LOT like Tony Dungy, moreso than any other HC in the league.

I have to say, I applaud this. Nobody really knew about this meeting, and it happened. I also hope that none of the front office was there. I'm willing to bet that Ross has said "pay him whatever", and let the coach and others handle talking to Manning. We had our meeting, time will tell what happens from here. The only difference I see between this and the Cards/Broncos is how well publicised those meetings were, and this one not.

Randy Moss made QBs great

Culpepper was MVP because of Moss. Let that sink in.
