Marino had to beg Manning to interview with Dolphins

Screw Manning. He looks like Rocky Dennis anyway.

I didnt want to watch him take all the time at the line and change the play EVERY down.

and thats why i'm trying to tell people around here that taking a chance on flynn when cleveland is zeroed in on tannehill and he's awfully raw to begin with makes sense for us...especially considering philbin is here and if its true flynns market will keep him out of the $8 mil per year type stuff we have absolutely nothing to lose...front load the contract where most the guaranteed money is in year one when matt moore is so cheap anyways and if he fails you can STILL get out in the next year or so and with this new cba you can still in 2013 use your top pick on a qb...

i mean wake up people...if manning passes flynn is by far the next best option and unlike all these other qbs in this rookie class he's had solid success when he's gotten his chance to play IN THE PROS...

I have never been in the Tannehill corner. I would much rather sign FLynn and draft BPA at 8. I don't care how good tannehill turns out, no way he is worth the number 8 pick.

My only thought is that if Manning never really wanted to play for us in the first place then how did ownership "drop the ball" when they never obviousy had a real shot at him in the first place. They did what they could with a guy that never wanted to be here. What are they supposed to do, kidnap him? I think that would have been the only possible way to get him here and keep him here.

god people are GULLIBLE!!!!

write it and they will believe it. its the code of the media.

oh please peyton! please come to the dolphins and win something i couldnt with my team, in my town, in my stadium. PLEEEEEESSSSEEE! oh pretty, pretty, pretty, PLEEEEEEZZZZE PEYTON???? one for your buddy danny?

nawww.

and even if marino did talk with them, so what? denver had elway talking, not pat bowlin.

arizona had kurt warner and larry fitz and the whole hee-haw gang available for their interview.

was all that begging? wheres all the, "they needed elway and fitz and warner to chum up the meetings"?

so, manning said to marino, weeellll, ok. but just send philbin and not the owner". come on.

this is just more media people puting out bad spin on miami. its becoming rediculous with people like mike lombardi who seems to despise the dolphins. did his wife get double teamed by a couple dolphin players? dude has a real prob with miami.

if the team had to beg and manning did a quick fav for a buddy, they are not missing out on other plans waiting around for him at this point. not if the meeting went like that. the finz would know by now they have no chance. there must be some real promise in it or they would be out and going with plan b or c by now.

you have all been DUPED!!!

They dropped the ball by garnering such a lousy reputation in the first place...

All i know about FLynn is the one person who probably knows most about him is the fins head coach. THerefore if he wants him then I want him!

I hate to say this, but this would make sense. Why did Manning visit with Denver and Arizona then head home. Miami had to go to him, which if you think about it is ****ed up. I do not buy into the whole beg thing, we all know good old Dan, and he is not a person that would ever beg. We all want our QB situation solved but honestly like some people have already stated, if Manning really thinks he is better off with Denver or the Titans, **** him we don't need him. At this point I hope they draft the best player available with the 8th pick, and let Moore do what he can. Next year we either suck or trade for the #1 pick and finally draft a QB. It is going to be a rough year next season with the Pats, Jets and Bills all doing very well.

if your manning and you live in miami anyways in the offseason don't you think at minimum as a pr stunt you give the home team given our dire situation at qb a courtesy interview so that every time you go out in miami people don't want your head on a spit???

to me that makes sense...plenty of it...throw miami a bone whether i want to be there or not

honestly i was hoping you guys would get manning and pay him a metric asston of money. because honestly i don't think he's gonna last very long.

Kinda like the Jets and Dirty Sanchez! LOL Good luck with that.

Lets raise funds to buy out the dolphins from stephen ross. We will split ownership with don shula.

Dysfunction is the word, but based on that, I am not sold that Philbin is a quality head coach anyway.

He does not command any presence at all.

Seriously, the best thing that Stephen Ross can do is sell the team to a football mind owner who cares for the Dolphins and wants to build on their legacy.

How and what the Dolphins did and treated Marino is unforgivable, and its no wonder he doesn't want any part in coaching or with this team.

Guys/Gals, its very sad. And Flynn is not the answer either.

He's been a complete disaster with Jennifer Lopez and others buying shares in the team, when Jennifer can't even keep her own marriage bonds together.

The Sparano hiring and Parcells hiring was another huge mistake.

Just get braced for another let down, and I wont mention the Marshall debacle, we'll replace him in the draft or free agency.

d-1

f him and f the media, i am tired of the pilling on, the phins will be fine
