The Dolphins had to enlist the help of Hall of Famer Dan Marino just to get a meeting with free agent Peyton Manning, according to a report from the Palm Beach Post.

For the same reasons that Jim Harbaugh and Jeff Fisher grew leery of the organization, we've suspected all along that the Dolphins were never a true contender for Manning. This report confirms that sentiment. Until owner Stephen Ross places more emphasis on football than gaining a firmer toehold for the Dolphins on the South Beach entertainment scene, there are going to be more swings-and-misses.

It could not be more obvious that something is deeply flawed with the management of this team. I really think at heart these people couldn't care less whether we win or lose. They just like holding on to their blind faith, which is the easier way since they don't have to bother with things like independent thought, reality, or holding anyone accountable.

Back seat driving is easy. There are a lot of teams in this league who don't consistantly perform. The 1s that do were lucky in some regards with the qb spot. Someone can claim a source and report it and not one word is true.Someone with an axe to grind against the Dolphins, like most of the media. SO did Ben report this because of the the Radio source? yes they did have us beliveing when this first started every body and there brother had peyton coming to miami all reporters i mean there wasnt one guy that didnt say miami had the best shot at peyton. i even thought we had him, i mean all reports that he wanted to go to a team that had warm weather and was contending for the playoffs or SB and before we got rid of marshall we was right there in contention and yes the media and most of the time there on but even players and retired players that use t play for miami thought we had a very good chance at landing manning. it look very promising and then everything went to hell in a little roll boat.

Yeah that 1 qb named non winning playoff games Matt Ryan. Other than that you can't really throw anything on JI at the qb spot. Building a team from dust is no easy task. Especially when the contenders have a 5 year head start + a franchise qb in place...

Exactly, the "Experts" had us believing based on sources close to the situation and all the other BS. Even Vegas had us in the lead based on media lies. I mean reports. Now they want us to believe we never had a chance??? WTF ,which one was it then?
