Marino suing the NFL over concussions....

Didn't that lawsuit already happen and settle on like 700 million. Not sure he can sue after that. Hate to say it but Marino sounds like that guy who just wants a quick payday even though he didn't get concussions

My initial reaction is "Yep, Dan needs money after losing the CBS gig."

:idk:

Wow, I'm shocked that one of my hero's....somebody who grew up in Pittsburgh would have the audacity to claim he had no clue football was a brutal sport?

This world is upside down and need a serious enema!

Hard for me to believe Dan would do this. I guess I need to read what his argument is.

Looks like the nfl needs to start putting clauses in their player contracts. Saying that the NFL is a contact sport. That they are not responsible for concussions. They have medical under the CBA for a reason

Apparently the judge rejected that as not being a fair amount......should be more.

If I am not mistaken Dan was probably one of the least hit QB's of his generation. Never recall him taking a big hit or have many, if any, concussions. Should be interesting to see how this plays out.

Don't confuse not getting sacked a lot with not getting hit. I'm not a proponent of these players suing but I will say he did get a hit a lot.

Are you a proponent of someone claiming they had no clue getting hit in the head could cause damage?

If you don't want to play football, don't play football.
His first concussion wasn't in the NFL, I promise. Probably not even
his eighth or ninth. When I became an EMT, I realized how many concussions
I suffered just through junior high and high school football. It was approaching 20
of varying degrees.

Of course, when you get hit, or deliver a hit and, you can't balance for a second,
and have to take a knee, guess what? That's a concussion.

I, and nobody I knew that played football (I can't say now, because I'm 46 and have
separated from the newer generation) would give up a single play if they didn't
absolutely had to. Not one snap, because there's always sombody else behind you
ready to be the next man up, and the only thing keeping him off the field is you being
on the field.

I think it was Hines Ward that went down with a concussion, then, grabbed at his leg,
because he didn't want anyone to know he had a concussion. THAT is exactly how every
football player of any worth that I ever knew would act.

I ****ing loathe these worthless assholes.
