If you don't want to play football, don't play football.
His first concussion wasn't in the NFL, I promise. Probably not even
his eighth or ninth. When I became an EMT, I realized how many concussions
I suffered just through junior high and high school football. It was approaching 20
of varying degrees.
Of course, when you get hit, or deliver a hit and, you can't balance for a second,
and have to take a knee, guess what? That's a concussion.
I, and nobody I knew that played football (I can't say now, because I'm 46 and have
separated from the newer generation) would give up a single play if they didn't
absolutely had to. Not one snap, because there's always sombody else behind you
ready to be the next man up, and the only thing keeping him off the field is you being
on the field.
I think it was Hines Ward that went down with a concussion, then, grabbed at his leg,
because he didn't want anyone to know he had a concussion. THAT is exactly how every
football player of any worth that I ever knew would act.
I ****ing loathe these worthless assholes.
