Marshall was moved in order to complete a trade for D Jackson of philly

So you are telling me in the end this would have cost us 3 2nd round pics and 2 3rd round picks? (2 of the three was what we paid for Marshall). So we are supposed to feel better that he was trying to make a trade to give away our #1 WR and a 2nd for a talented slot WR and KR who they just gave a big contract extention. Well, I'm so glad he's even more incapable than we thought and couldn't seal the deal, because this was a horrible deal.

wow when you put it that way its depressing. lol. B.M was going to be suspended no matter what so jeff was willing to bite the bullet to get rid of this head case with questionable hands. D.Jackson just wanted paid.

the game plan was to have similar contracts(B.M and D.J), money wise (would require D Jackson to accept contract)

Anyone else hear about this eagles & dolphins trade?

My friend just posted this on his facebook, diehard eagles fan -

[h=6]wow, eagles really screwed the dolphins over.

Dolphins thought they had a deal with Eagles (Involving 3 Picks) 2nd & Two 3's (One in 2013) in exchange for Desean Jackson, according to a (Eagles Source) Ireland had worked on deal for 2weeks & set-up the Marshall trade so he could unload those picks in Jackson trade. Once Miami finalized deal with Bears they called up Philly had the paperwork ready to finalize the trade... No response from Eagles. Dolphins left holding picks they wanted to use in a swap for a game changing WR Jackson.

Thank GOD we didn't make that trade!

That's what I said. Since we gave two 2nd's to get Marshall, this trade would end up costing us 3 second round picks for a very high paid slot WR who also returns kicks. We'll still need a #1 WR. I don't know if there's any truth to this but I'm so glad Ireland is enept enough to lose out on this deal too.

that would involve a trade down in the first round. everything is on the table right now. if we lose out on tannehill then this could become more realistic with a trade down.

Philly didn't just PAY Jackson trade him. Kills their cap.

Not happening. Sounds far fetched anyway. Source for this "rumor"?
