yeah, as we trade with dallas to screw philly in the draft. You dont pull crap like this and get away with it. info spreads around the league and karma comes back to bite.

I dont necessarily believe this, but something was up with that BMarsh trade. If true, what a bad idea. For one, Ireland got taken. Secondly, DJax is also a headcase but worse he would be wasted with our limited QBs and would almost immediately start pouting. Once he blows passed the secondary do you really expect Moore or Garrard to hit him in stride 60 yards down field? It's easier for them to just toss it up to Brandon. Also it's pretty awful value for a trade. Brandon and Jax are relatively comparable but suddenly we're trading an extra 2nd and giving him a huge new contract. Bleh. Even having said all that, going through with the trade would have been better than ending up where we are now.
 
So he wanted to trade a Pro Bowl WR AND a 2nd round pick for another top WR?

Seems like Marshall and Desean complement each other perfectly. Instead of basically trading one for the other, why not bring Desean in opposite BMarsh? That would've been a fun offense to watch no matter who the quarterback was. But Ireland, in his infinite wisdom left us with Hartline and Bess as our starters.
 
We would have gotten a far more potent threat on offense, a player that doesn't get stab et etc etc and a potent weapon on special teams and they still complian. Idiots!

I know right why would we trade BM and picks to downgrade our receiver. Marshall is a more complete wr. I call BS on this rumor.
 
forget about trades and draft picks for a minute, so................... it doesn't matter what Ireland does you're going to hate him anyway? LOL you guys are part of the of the problem and I know it's your opinion but come on guys lighten up just a little.

I have no issue with the move.
 
i don't see why trading the 2 3rd rounders you got for marshall and the #40 pick for a desean jackson is such a crazy trade...the only thing that bothers me about it is the qb situation and the fact that jackson can be a malcontent...but talent wise jacksons absolutely worth a 2nd and 2 3rd rounders...and i do think when ireland made this marshall trade he had to have something up his sleeve or he should have been in the free agent wr market...somethings a miss there
