Jonathan Martin's camp will meet w/ Dolphins soon, perhaps next week at the scouting combine. He wants to play. No trade demand as of yet.

The Sacramento Bee's Matt Barrows believes findings in the Wells Report make San Francisco a possible landing spot for Jonathan Martin.
He'd be a backup to Joe Staley and Anthony Davis, but reuniting with college coach Jim Harbaugh could potentially get 24-year-old Martin's NFL career back on track. "(Harbaugh) told us that he had never doubted Martin's tenacity, work ethic and dedication to the game, and that he had never seen Martin exhibit problems with social adjustment," the Wells Report states. "Coach Harbaugh told us he believed that Martin likely could continue to have a successful career in the NFL." Martin's agent insists his client is now in a "great place," and the Wells Report can serve as a "tool for him to heal."

I would jettison Incognito and Turner and give Martin a shot to play.

Wait a second, who were all those who said we couldnt get anything for Martin?

I'm tellng ya, the outsiders see this a whole lot differently than we do.

At the very least, you can get a player for Martin that the team is willing to let go of. SF has many draft picks again and good players waiting to get starting or playing time.

"Harbaugh never saw Martin exhibit problems with social adjustment" well guess what, neither did the Dolphins until he b*****ed out jack***!

Believe me!!! San Fran is really, really the best place for Martin.

Do everything possible to make Jon happy. Everything. That is all that is important in this world.

It does not matter that Martin has a drug issue, cannot advocate for himself or simply cannot block.

It's a business, or are you forgetting that?

It is not beyond the realm of possibilities that J-mart could be given another opportunity in Miami?
New O-line teammates. Probable new O-line Coach. Greater scrutiny. I can see where it could happen.

Unless Joe Philbin is the greatest motivator ever bringing Martin back would be career suicide for both Philbin and Hickey.

I would bet a serious amount of money with someone (so long as a contract is written and signed) that that will not happen.

Martin is discussing this right now because he wants to play elsewhere. FA is weeks away.

Man, heres to hoping we could get something for the guy. Also, think about it this way, if he does indeed end up in San Fran it will be Bully Gate all over again:

oh btw, I believe SF has two 2nd's and 2 3rd rounders again. Its not out of the realm of possibility we could sneak a 4th or 5th from them because they have too many picks with not many spots left. At some point, they have to cash in.

Martin would give them great publicity, closer to home, and good depth.

Just cut his ass already. If he stayed on the team it would just be a huge circus. He would also be a pariah in the lockerroom and he might just kill himself because of that. We don't need this drama continuing.
