Martin To Speak Soon

Oh Im sorry your right thats exactly like bin Laden lol not.

Yeah, leave it to you to reach for the analogy that a planned stealth exit campaign to symbolically and intentionally scorch a franchise is analogous to mass murder. Good job - but to that end now that I think of it, Martin is the NFL's equivalent of a "stealth bomber" isn't he?

I didnt reach for that someone else brought up Bin Laden and I said tht was a bad analogy then u chimed in. None of this is going to destroy the Dolphins or anything close. Just two douches having an issue that has overflowed into the news. In the end we will have more better guidelines on conduct and the dolphins will still be the dolphins.

Well I am interested to hear what he has to say. I'm increasingly convinced that he's a bright young guy who is also manic depressive. The fact that he went straight to seek professional help seems to have been dismissed by most. Something is wrong and he shouldn't have been handed to our sociopath in training, Richie Incognito, to toughen him up. That is akin to leaving a liquor store in the hands of an alcoholic.
I would not be surprised if Martin makes a significant announcement in his prepared statement. I would prefer an interview but a statement is better than nothing. It is interesting that he is releasing this before his interview with the Special Investigator, Wells. I don't understand that unless his advisor, Cornwell is wanting to set the course of the investigation.

haha the baby can't handle an interview

Look at all of his interviews on miamidolphins.com - he actually answers the questions very well. He's pretty serious and smart with his answers. I think that his advisor, Cornwell, has instructed him to just read the statement, rather than open it up at this stage.

Everyone is totally focused on Ritchie, but if I remember correctly it was that screaming HARD Arse Marine OLine Coach who
stole the show in Hard Knocks last year.

Nobody has even mentioned his name.

Seriously Olineman coaches are the nastiest most vicious of all the NFL coaches.

How many do you think will be lining up to coach this kid now?

Jon Martin having a video taped interview? I believe even Gloria Allred has her victims of abuse stand next to her during LIVE news conferences. And those are women of abuse.

I'm not on team Martin by any stretch, but I don't blame the guy for wanting to release a statement on his terms.

He obviously has some mental issues right now and it's probably smart to keep a reporter from asking him the "tough" questions.

He's a coward, and if Richie Sr is as correct as he was first, about the suspension breaking, Martin's agent pulling BS, Ireland and Philbin being snakes about this, that Martin is a suicidal drug abuser. If that's the case, is it any wonder that mommy and daddy wouldn't permit him to be interviewed should those hard questions be posed?

As you can see by my badge I am a cog supporter but here is the other side to consider. If Richies Dad knew Martin was suicidal than so did his son and we have to weigh everything that happened with that in mind.

No matter what it will be good to hear him actually say something. Interview or not it really doesnt matter because he could always choose an interviewer that will ask the question he wants to ask

Which is why I'm wondering why he isn't doing that. I'm sure they
could find an interviewer that would only ask the questions they wanted
asked. He'd come off better.

Maybe he just wants to speak his mind and not be bothered with asking questions.

He could still do that. It's all in how the questions are framed. Interaction with a person
is always going to make you come off better than a canned statement.

I think Jonathan Martin was upset that he lost his starting position and cracked under the pressure. He had to come up with an excuse cause he was in danger of getting suspended without pay. He didn't expect it to get this out of hand and will clarify that in this taped response today. He is going to walk it back imho.
