Martin, You're camp is getting SLOPPY

no it isnt. All this means is martin felt pressured to laugh it off. The "pressured" part is key. Because feeling that sort of pressure is a sign of a hostile work environment.

Im getting a chuckle at everyone who thinks theyve found a silver bullet. Not even close. If a women laughs at harassment from her boss in front of her coworkers, she can still sue. Easily.

If this were to reach the courtroom(it wont), a judge would find the voicemails, the coaches instructions, and the hospital visit to have a lot more weight then martin gritting his teeth and smiling when surrounded by his teammates.

Theres a reason why the dolphins organization wanted everyone to keep quiet. Comments like the one clabo made("shoulda been a man") are going to give martin a lot more ammo then take away from him.

money money money

Do you guys really think for one minute Martins evil mommy a woman who managed to become legal counsel for Toyota would take on the NFL and Miami Dolphins with a single voicemail? Think about it for a minute!

She could have 1,000. When those voicemails were left and the context they are very key. Yes I think she may in fact be reacting emotionally, not logically.

Did someone kidnap the NFL union when all of this was going on? If he felt any real threat he could have bipassed the Dolphins brass and if he was so paranoid to think his own team player rep was in on it he could have called his mommy/daddy/agent and let them talk to the actual NFL union reps in NY.

If Martin wanted to resolve this in a mature way, he bipassed that course of action for many many months and many many times.

Right. Because we are quickly learning more and more each day in America that the worst thing someone can possibly be is a man.

I know right? Should have done the manly thing: bought a gun and shot up the joint.

Manhood!

To a judge or arbitrator the only context that matters is the victims. Also if it was a drunk dial like Clabo claims it becomes a aggravated not a excuse.

He felt pressured to play the VM for everyone in the locker room?

In an effort to fit in and stop being the target? Stranger things have happened. And to be honest, that isnt so strange. By showing he can laugh at himself, he could have hoped to get the others to stop going after him.

Problem was, he couldnt laugh at himself and the others didnt stop going after him.

Let us all remember..

There is NO lawsuit.... YET.

Right now it's simply an investigation for workplace harassment.

There wont be a lawsuit. At least one that actually goes to court. Thats a total myth some are trying to spread to justify Martin bailing. They refuse to believe he was actually messed with, so they are attaching a motive.

Martin's parents know they wont beat the NFL in court. The NFL is to good at it. Their case wouldnt be heard for ages and even if it were decided swiftly the NFL would appeal it. Forever.

well he was laughing at something. it's reasonable to believe he thought it was funny and wanted to share it with his team-mates.

I have stayed neutral to both players until more and more was known. Today, after hearing Ryan and Hartline talk, I know all I need to know. Martin is the snake in all this. I never want him back on our team.

Agree

One might speculate that they will hope for a settlement one that in the least covers the rest of his contract. The league like any big business in the public eye would not like the attention a knock down drag out lawsuit would entail, one in which they would look like the bad guy picking on a bullied victim
