I wish this guy would go on a permanent game of Survivor! I am so tired of his sorry ass! Cut his non-blocking, vagina having, me before the team, drama queen ass and let's move on from this POS!
If you read the entire article, near the end it does a good job explaining what a mess this thing could become should it go to court. Going to court isn't good for either side. They'll come to some kind of settlement.
If this goes to court, the public will get to hear the other side for once and what they did or more importantly, didnt do.
Who cares? Unless he's trying to convince the Dolphins he's mentally fit for duty, why should we care in the slightest what his therapeutic regimen is?After his theatrical overnight stop at a local mental facility before hurrying home to Mommy Dearest, does anyone know whether he admitted himself to a facility in SoCal... or even submitted himself to any outpatient therapiy sessions at all? Be interesting to know :idk:
Methinks you're getting a little obsessive yourself with this Martin guy. He's a troubled 24 year old kid - don't read any more into it than that. It (he) is not worth it.
I guess anyone can sue for anything they want......but I don't think that is going to occur in this case. This is a workplace issue and for what your describing to occur, the Dolphins have to be proven to have known about this and allowed it to continue. I haven't seen anything to indicate that happened. Also, Martin himself says he never told anyone.
If the Dolphins were worried about discovery, they wouldn't have invited in a 3rd party investigator and asked their staff and players to cooperate.
The Dolphins had no choice about the investigator. And I've been part of internal investigations before, and believe me, they are not nearly as ugly as discovery in a civil action.
So far as Martin's statements, if I'm his attorney, all I have to do is get to a jury, hopefully one of a favorable ethnic and gender make up, play Richie Incognito's voicemails, get some kind of expert witness that says the Dolphins had to have known what was going on, even if Martin didn't say anything, and there's a good chance that I'll win, and win big.

Martin has stated that he wants to play football. From a risk mitigation perpective, #1 priority needs to be ensuring that J-mart's goal to play football is realized. If he wants to be on another team like San Francisco to reunite with Jim Harbaugh or Indy to reunite with Luck and Fleener, maybe it can be organized. But if no other team is interested in taking him, then don't be surprised if Miami keeps him on the roster.
Just like in the movies.......
If he can prove emotional distress (and clearly he can), the possibility is still there.
The Dolphins knowingly signed a trouble maker who was kicked off the Nebraska team, cut by the St. Louis Rams and Buffalo Bills. The Martins have all the amunition they need. The Dolphins had no choice about the investigator.
