Brian has come out and said he wants to be his own man and doesn't want to follow his dad around anymore.

And the thread should be changed slightly; he's begging to coach in the NFL period.
 
Do eeeeeeeeet! Chargers fans here were pissed when he got fired a few years ago...with a 14-2 record no less! Sure he's up their in age, but he's full of energy and obviously has the itch to win in the NFL.
 
well the first person he contacted was peterson who is ross right hand man, and then in the same interview he went on to praise the dolphins roster, so connect the dots
 
Marty's been great wherever he was. He was a fumble away from going to the Super Bowl in Cleveland. Always a contender in SD and kc. Would be happy with him
 
Not sure if anyone mentioned this but I recall Don Shula wanted Schottenheimer to succeed him. I think our franchise would be way better off right now if that happened when Shula retired but oh well.
 
if he WANTS to be here and doesnt need to have money thrown at him and doesnt demand personel power, and wants to coach the Dolphins.....simply because he WANTS to coach the Dolphins, then i am all for it
 
The one thing about schotty is you know he will put together a really good staff, we could keep the 3-4 defense, and we would be tough and disciplined
 
I'm down for him.. Give him 4 years (he'll retire at 72). He'll get us to the playoffs which he has consistently done and maybe get Daboll to take over as HC by then. (Daboll is young so he could be a "young Shula" and a player's coach)
