Marvez: Source Says They Think Ireland/Philbin Stay, Sherman Goes

I'm rooting even harder for losses next year if this happens. Ridiculous. Ross strikes again. Apparently it'll take an 0-16 season for him to realize things aren't running well.

I would prefer 0 wins to another 7-9 win mediocre season next year.

Once Daboll had Moore playing our offense put up some ****ing points.

Unfortunetly, which killed our Suck for Luck campaign with a few meaningless wins.

Looks like some will get the continuity they want. Continued mediocrity. Honestly, they've had that for over a decade, so I don't see what they were so worried about.

Just one more year! :bobdole:

So, you will be pissed if the team goes 11-5 and wins the division next year? Or 10-6 and makes the playoffs....sad, and all because you want to see the HC and GM gone. Sure would suck for everybody if they turn this thing around it seems.

Who is going to run the team if Sherman goes? lol.

Does that mean Joe fires Sherman? I still think Sherman steps down and saves Joe a headache.

That's what I think- just like the Gilbride 'retirement' with the Giants. Its a 'leave, or you're fired' situation.

Joe Philbin can't be forced to fire Mike Sherman. It's in his contract. His staff. And that's why Joe needs to go.

Daboll was far from great, but he actually had a novel concept of calling plays that fit the strengths of the players we had.

Personally if people are that worried about continuity or whatever, why not promote somebody like Ken O'Keefe to OC?

6 years of Ireland and you're still waiting for things to get turned around.

I'll wager anything you want that this team doesn't ever win the division with Ireland as the GM.

I agree with you on Daboll, but that's why he was the best we've had since Linehan. Incidentally, Scott Linehan is available and I would be down for bringing him in again. I was mad when he left and especially that we got stuck with Mike effing Mularkey.

Ireland gave me a no comment. I asked him if everything is cool there and he said "I can't tell you anything." He was nice about it.

Has Ireland said a word to the press since bullygate?

I would love it if they could do that, I just know they are not capable. After 6 years, there is zero reason to believe Ireland can rebuild this offensive line, we are stuck with ****ty linebackers, and if Grimes is gone, we are truly ****ed with the teams we play next year. Regarding the coaching, our embarrassing losses to inferior teams is a huge indictment. I don't hope for losses, I just expect them at this point.

wahhh wahh! bitch, bitch! You all sound like a bunch of god damn babies.

Excited to see what Tanne/Philbin can do in their third year.

Go fins

Hire a new OC and bring in Marino as football czar.

Decent. I honestly wouldn't mind that at all.
Ya nothing better than a lame duck coach that the players don't really listen too. Could be the result.

Ireland has a long rap sheet. It's amazing that some people still don't get it. I can name countless fireable offenses he has committed. Long story short, he's been here for 6 years (3 or 4 without Parcells, I forget) and the OL is still in shambles. That's enough right there. "Oh, but the philsophy changed." Poor excuse. If Ireland picked good enough players, they'd at least be serviceable in this fake, watered down Wal-Mart version of the WCO they run.
