Matt, just remember you have no chance to start-WTF?

Thigpen was arguably better than henne

MAYBE! but this is a lesson on the sparano [wanny] henne [feidler] relationship. thigpen was never given reps with the first team, he was ignored for the most part through out the season and then thrown in on a short week, coming off a hard loss into a buzz saw named the chicago bears!! he never had a chance. henne would have gotten blown out in that game [just more int's].

and that was it. back to henne. any coach that was WHOLE HEARTEDLY changing qb's would have recognized the situation and given him at least 3 more games or the rest of the season with FULL first team reps. but, sparano didnt.

you can bet that the next couple games will see the play calls be VERY dialed back and iffy to keep moore in check and get the fans into the "see, hes just a scrub, henne is the man" mode. tony sprano, like dave wanstedt, wants NO MENTION OR CHANCE of a qb controversey for his boy and will direct moores outcome.

remember wanny and fiedler? huard outplayed him lights out in pre season after SWEARING the contests were wide open. coaches DO create outcomes when need be.

who got the job?

ONE NOTE: i didnt know this untill last night that moore was drafted by the parcells/sparano cowboys! so, there may be a twinkle of hope somewhere in that. he can at least count on a roster spot! :)

I don't think it's an obsession with Moore. Most of us weren't too thrilled bringing him in. Right now he is on the roster and I think you have to go with the old who "gives us the best chance to win". Moore should get some work with the starters in preseason and be given a chance to compete. If Moore can just be a not too bad QB they might have a chance to win some games.

It really pisses me off how lightly the Dolphins take the QB position. Then when playoff hopes are gone in October they are going to wonder what went wrong.

I completely agree with you. There should be competition between Moore and Henne. But you helped my point. When Moore did come in, people said he sucked and we did not bring in talent to compete with Henne. Now that he had one decent preseason game against 2nd and 3rd stringers that included an interception from throwing into triple coverage (which we would have said was another typical Henne play), people have completely reversed their position. They are saying that not only should Moore compete for the job, but is better than Henne. Let's just slow down a little and see how they actually perform in more than one game. Lets not let our frustration with Henne make us see something that may not be there.

Shades of DUMBstedt's love affair with Jay Fielder...

Ironic that history repeats itself.

4 - 12 here we come

Yes, it does look like history repeats itself.

Including people clamoring for below-average QB A to replace below-average QB B, just because A is the flavor of the month...
