Moore is so good for the following reasons:
1- He was released by a 2-14 Panthers team
he was concussed then went 1-4 before being lifted for Clausen on a 2-14 team with a lame duck coach. This past season, on an upgraded team, and with his own legs as a weapon, Cam Newton started 1-5 and 2-10. Had he not been drafted where he was, he too would have never seen the 5th or 6th start that season!
2 - He could not beat a 500 ot better team last year.
Tom Brady did not beat a winning team all season; Moore finished the season 6-3, the same as Matt Ryan, but with less to work with and over that 9 game stretch, Ryan only beat 1 winning team, and that was TN because of that last minute quirky game vs Houston. Sanchez went 5-4 his last 9 games and didnt' beat a winning team. Rivers went 4-7 over his last 11 games and only beat the Ravens.
3 - He had 14 fumbles last year.
Yes he also had Columbo guarding his flank. He did fumble a lot but only lost 6. Flacco lost 6, Sanchez lost 8, Bradford lost 7, Big Ben 5, and Rivers lost 5. Most of those guys had a less porous line and I don't see any of them in jeopardy of losing their jobs.
4 - He is a journeyman QB
So would have been Flynn if he came here as would be Alex Smith.
5 - HE is in the last year of his contract and phins have yet to extend him an offer.
Wouldn't it be typical if he continues to improve like he did after getting his sealegs without TC reps, does great and then we lose him in a Matt Flynn type scenario?
6 - he is getting paid 2.7M which is 1/3 of Flynns current salary.
He'd be getting a helluva more if he was a FA now instead of this time last season. Unlike Flynn who was 1-1 for an offensive system juggernaut, Moore actually uplifted crappy teams: won 52% of his games for teams winning 36.5% of theirs during the seasons he was under center
7 - He does not fit the WCO because decision making is not the best and accuracy could be better
That could be true or not; on the other hand in terms of pure long ball accuracy he ranked #4 in the league
8 - He will be holding out of camp as soon as we dont sign anyone else
Not necessarily. He showed he can play and uplift a demoralized team where fans were actually at the stadium rooting against him. He's got the confidence and now with all this dicking around with other QBs, he's got a chip on his shoulder and will be playing for a big FA payday next season
9 - he is injury prone
Since 09 he has had a concussion which kept him out of a few games after starting the first 2010 game for Carolina. Maybe he came back too soon and that resulted in his 1-4 record. Still putting that in perspective beyond Cam not doing better with a better team through the equivalent 12 games, Moore did play in 35% of Carolina's games that season yet still won 50% of their victories  Otherwise he has shown no inclination for injury. :idk:
10- He does not look that athletic to me. Not very fast or quick in my opinion.
I dunno if you've been to games this season like me, but the difference between him and Henne was stark in having the "it factor" when it comes to leadership and rallying the troops. Henne sat like a bump on the log, Moore was on the sidelines slapping 5, congratulating linemen etc. His leadership obviously resonated since with the Fins he started 75% of their games but contributed 100% of their victories, while having the 12th best QBR in the league.
11 - I can go on for a while.
Oh me too
