Not concerned, I expect that Moore will start until the rookie is ready. I'll be conderned if the rookie is not starting by next season.

Undrafted Free agent NFL signing who lost the starting job to Clausen who is not starting in this league and was release by Carolina the worst team in the league two years ago. Has not played that well against good teams in the fourth QTR.

He is a very good backup in my eyes.

I think Matt Moore will be our starter, but if we draft Tannehill, Weeden or someone else, I hope they will get to play some, as well.

If we draft Tannehilll or Weeden, Moore will see nothing but pine...

You don't take a 1st and sit him, in the case of Tannehill...and you only have so many years to get production, in the case of Weeden...

Since 2007, 13 QBs have been taken in the 1st round and Joe Flacco is the only one not drafted in the Top 5 to start the first game of their respected season. That's six day one starters and seven who sat.

I think Matt Moore is a decent QB. He may win us some games. However, my concern is playing in the WCO, im not too sure it suits Moore. I think Moore would be more succesful playing in the system he played last year, especially with a full offseason to himself to work with, I think he would have definetly won more games than lost. But now, switching to the WCO, Im not sure Moore is a WCO QB....so I expect him to still be able to win the starting job, but not sure how many games he could win for us.

FWIW, he started 35% of their games in 09 but accounted for 50% of their victories for a lame duck coach. Last season, with a coach who cared, and 2 upgraded TEs, Cam Newton not only went the same 1-4, but also started the season 2-10 per perspective sake. Of course had he been a UFA, he'd never have made it past that 5th game either, and we both know that's true! You do also realize doncha that Brady didn't beat a single winning team in regular season and over the last 9 games stretch, Ryan also finished 6-3, the only winning team he beat was TN, because of that game 16 vs Houston last minute clusterfork, beat teams with a cumulative .310 winning percentage vs Moore beating teams with over a .400 winning percentage. Just some more perspective to afford you a glimpse of the forest beyond a tree or two. YW.

Tannehill only has 19 starts at QB. You really think he is NFL ready on day one ? Mid season at the earliest and maybe longer if Moore is winning games. Weeden may be more ready to play now.

I'm more upset that the Fins ffront office said they would address the QB position in the off season and here we are wondering what the hell is going on. And for the record, Tannehill would not be addressing the QB position due to him not having an immediate impact. At this point, we have Moore as our starter and we have to ride with it. So go Moore!

First off, that was Mr. Loss that made that declaration of finding a franchise QB this offseason, not Ireland or Philbin... Tanny may not have an immediate impact but would/could answer Mr. Loss's mandate.

MMoore is limited with his accuracy and I'm not convinced he's WCO material at QB, however, I think he can fill in till a Tanny or Weeden are ready. Garrard is even less of a WCO QB, too slow of a release and decision making is suspect...

MMoore is almost certainly going to be the QB for us this season whether we like it or not. IF they draft a guy, since none of the available guys are NFL ready, he'll sit and learn.

Moores five years of experience has got him a one year contract making 2.7M and still has a losing game record and is not philbins type of QB. Tannehill Is. Gerrard makes more then MOORE.

Actually that's not quite accurate. Moore's starting record is 13-12 (.520) for teams those years with a cumulative winning record of 26-41 (.388).

So if anything he's uplifted and outperformed those particular versions of the teams for which he started.

Not concerned. He's a good transitional starter. A guy that can get us a few wins while his replacement is groomed. That is, unless we draft Weeden, who is the only QB outside of Luck that can start right away, IMO. Moore can get some wins against division rivals and **** up their playoff chances, which is pretty much all I look forward to in seasons where we're not contenders ourselves.

Assuming we get somebody for him to throw to, of course.

I'm okay with Moore starting in 2012 IF our goal is to get a top 5 draft pick in 2013. If we want to win this year, then Moore is NOT the answer. He's nothing more than a back-up, and that's all he'll ever be. I saw nothing last year to lead me to believe that he can be a difference-maker. Sure, he did well in 25+ yards pass plays, but to what end? He averaged I believe less than 200 yards per game, and never threw for 300 at all last year. Even Henne could throw for 300 on an average day. Let's see... 14 fumbles in 12 games? While not every fumble was his fault, this shows that he's not very good under pressure in the pocket. How many come-from-behind victories against average or above-average teams has he led? Zero. It is true that if not for our defense some of those losses might have been wins, but in any case when the game was on the line he was just as bad as Henne.
