Yeah. He almost sacked Batch, but just missed him. He looked angry afterwards.fins513 said:Did he play good tonight?
No no. You are right. He almost had a sack, but then did get one. I didn't even realize until now that it was him who had the sack.Lester said:oh I thought he got that sack. whoops
I was watching the Steeler's broadcast of it, so they didn't ever really say anything about Miami. They never announced who made what play. Of course I knew who they were. :wink:Lester said:cool, it was funny cause I was listening on the radio and when it happend the announcer said "That Matt Roth he sure has a --------- Then I said "non stop motor" or something like that right before the announcer could say it. My wife looked at me like I was some kind of psychic or football god. She said "how did you know he would say that?'
I love it when that happens. :)
Awsi Dooger said:I decided to watch Carey every play on offense and Roth on defense. What shocks me about Roth is how tiny he looks. I don't care about the height/weight technicalities. His frame is very small compared to the guys he is being asked to defeat. I remember he wore #31 in college so obviously he must have started out at LB or DB at Iowa. He just looks much smaller than I projected.
Roth takes a straight ahead charge almost every time. The clever wiggles or variety of rush moves just aren't there. He ends up in a lockarmed stalemate with the offensive lineman one play after another. We'll need to scheme to set him free after the QB with a jump start edge. The effort is tremendous and I'm sure it will increase when the opener arrives. Roth is a gamer especially when you watch the lame turn-your-back-to-the-line-of-scrimmage nonsense from Manny Wright.
