Maybe Ireland was right for asking Dez if his Mom was a prostitute?

he did. Crossing that caused almost as much drama for the dolphins, as dez has caused for the cowboys.

In hindsight it was a mistake and your point is well taken about the drama it caused. I disagree that he intentionly crossed a line as much as reacted to a statment that Dez orginally made and implied what his mother might be. So while Ireland is guilty for his reaction, it should be kept in mind it was in reponse first by the action of Dez. Dez was just an idiot to say that IMO and then he went public with it making it worse if he really cared about his mother.

Dez's mom is a hooker, who cares.

he's a scumbag and a whiner.

If he loved his hooker mother so much, he wouldn't have gotten in trouble for pimp slapping her.

Nope. Ireland was wrong and no hindsight will change that.
Hindsight does not change the fact that the question was extremely insensitive and rude.

Even for the NFL.
The fact is Ireland new the answer to the question before he asked it making it not only rude but totally unnecessary and bordering on spiteful.

Joni Martin has a following here I see.:lol2:

Living a right to work state, I have absolutely no problem someone asking such a question. If you don't have what it takes between the ears to handle such a question, some fields of work are not for you. I guess its why most minorities work for the government.

Look at Dez walking away from his teammates. How you react to adversity is huge and we all know playing for the Phins would have raised many opportunities for adversity. The guys that are here, including the coaches seemed to have stayed even during the time of hopelessness
Oh cry me a river.

You holier than thou types are the first to point fingers, but behind the scenes you do the same or worse. Sometimes an individual can be blinded by passion. I see him as a man that wants to win and doesn't like being mediocre. Yes, he should have stayed on the sideline until the game was over, but I have a good idea of why he was pissed. Anyone who watched the game knows.

A lot of rich "kids" have a hard time adjusting to conducting themselves in a PC way. He will get it eventually.

I live in a right to work state too. I don't think that it has anything to do with anything.

If you are going to make an investment, you have a right to investigate the person.

Ireland blows. The guy has been here for over 5 years yet the o line is still questionable and we have no depth at corner. Better hope grimes and Carroll are ok, cause if we are forced to field Davis, its gonna be a tough road to the playoffs i don't care who we play.

Yea, but we got a franchise QB.....I will take that trade off every day of the week.....Most GM search a lifetime to find a franchise QB Ireland got him one, got to give him credit for it.........

At a young age, I had friends who were asked some dumb ass questions. Some here would have called it racist, or tried to sue. But my friends grew up to be smart and productive people in the private sector because of the trials and tribulations of being around some ignorant people. Its all about being mature enough to handle situations that you don't like in life.

No one likes losing, but staying with your team after such a loss shows character. Leaving shows the absence of such a trait.

I would have loved to see the greats walk out like that.

But there will always be someone who will make excuses for such childish and immature behavior. Purple markers and everybody wins, makes sore losers.

I agree that you have a right to investigate people that work for you.

If you tell someone in an interview for a job that my Dad is a pimp and my Mom works for him. What would your response be.Ireland Im sure just had to ask and I would probably inquire just to find out what his mom actually did. This story is blown so way out of proportion.Granted I still think Ireland is a jackass with his attitude but I really dont blame his for inquiring
I can agree with this comment 100%.

Was your Mom a Prostitute?

theres no doubt that dez bryant is the next terrall owens. tsk tsk

I don't mind the guy. He just wants to win and he hates losing.

A fine quality if you ask me.
Even if it means walking out on your team? Imagine if every guy who hated losing walked out on his team with time left on the clock. Every game would be over at halftime.
