Mckinnie may return as RT

He's played LT all his life. How easy would it be for him to flip to the other side? I've heard Keith Simms & Troy Drayton discussing this possible move on the Finsiders before and they made it sounds like that's easier said than done especially someone like McKinnie who is so accustomed to playing on the left side. exclusively...muscle memory etc.

this would mean the GM has failed in my eyes. Neither Clabo or Mckinnie should be back at the dolphins as anything more than depth at most
 
I ama McKinnie guy, but I would not experiment with him at RT this late in his career.
 
I'm fine with him being back as veteran minimum as a backup. He can play either tackle, and showed a little leadership last year too.
 
Bring him in as a back up to Albert, and if he can win the RT job then so be it!! YOU CAN NEVER HAVE ENOUGH STARTING QUALITY LINEMEN.
 
I think it's a good option, depending what takes place in the draft. Having Mount McKinnie with the team for a good portion of the Dolphins off-season can't hurt. He played at a high level for 5-6 games last year. Unfortunately the last 2 games of the year weren't his best.
 
I would not at all be nervous going into the season with McKinney penciled in as the starter and if a rook can beat him out, what a great backup swing tackle to have on your team. I do not like going into the draft with a need that "HAS TO BE FILLED" via the draft. I'd rather take the absolute best player regardless of position with each and every pick then feel like you have to get a certain position filled. I would like this signing if it happens. Heck, don't do any real guaranteed money and there would be no risk.

Chances are we take Z. Martin in the draft to play RT. Bring back McKinnie as primary back up at LT/RT.

LT - Albert
LG - Shelley/ D. Thomas/ Garner / Brenner
C - Pouncey
RG - Shelley / D. Thomas / Garner / Brenner
RT - Z. Martin
 
I'm willing to bet McKinnie does not want to go to training camp and will sign even later.
