McKinnie suggests change of rhythm and cadence

Miami's own defense hasn't said that the cadence is tipping them off during practice. Are they retards?

wake said in an interview where they actually asked him about the go-go thing and he said the offense never does it in practice, they always try to simulate how the opposing offense will play

BTW ive had this thought since the midseason, maybe our oline is decent but it's the snap count and cadence making look ****ty. Anyone else thinking that for a while?

Interesting McKinnie has suggested two adjustments, both of which could be pretty important. The Pats were getting sacks against him and Brenner and it was McKinnie that told Brenner what adjustment to make, not the oline coach. And then this snap count thing, I think this reflects really well on McKinnie and shows while he is a decent player he is also a very good team mate.

you think the players need the coaches to tell them to get fired up for a divisional rival, and a chance at the playoffs? If that's the case, miami should just go ahead and clean house. top to bottom. including all 53 players. As a person that's played football for many years, I got hyped up enough, just knowing we are going up against rivals and/or playoffs were in reach. The players/leaders/captains of the team also helped get me fired up.
Right after we beat the patty's I was amped up. All week I my blood was boiling. Thinking we had to beat buff. I really thought it was our time to change the fortune and end strong. We didn't even check into planet earth. What A mess. I had playoff mentality all week. If I played I would have whooped. Wish they get jacked up for every game. Not just certain ones. If they felt like we do they would have gotten the job Done. We need to win Sun. I will be pissed if we lay an egg. I feel we win big and get a wildcard.

Merry Christmas Finheaven Family

Garner forced 2 false starts again the next week against the Carolina Panthers. Despite the fact that the Panthers have maybe the best front 7 in football, we did not have a particularly bad day in terms of rushing average or sacks allowed, compared to our season averages.

All I know is, the more the team protests that this isn't an issue, the more I will continue to be convinced that it is.

The center doesn't call the cadence the QB does. To suggest that somehow Pouncey is incapable of snapping the ball on anything other than go or go go is ludicrous at best.

somehow, I got a feeling like the jets will have 5 offsides calls this week.....were home this time. big difference vs. loud fans.

If Pouncey has a tell it would probably show up more on silent counts and specifically when he drops his head to signify the beginning of the silent count, quite often the head drops are fakes so if he does something different on the fake ones compared to the real ones it could be a tip off. I haven't looked into it myself so I have no clue if this is actually happening but thats what I would look at if I could be bothered to investigate.

from what I could tell from the endzone, jerry was signaling pouncey alot

Theres no difference between a QB that calls hut hut (the snap call for ages) or go go.

There is when every time the Qb calls a single hut its a pass and every time they use a double hut its a run. May as well be shouting out RUN or PASS to hike the ball.

That's not what I'm suggesting at all. What I'm suggesting is that Mike Pouncey has a tell that gives away the snap.

There might be something giving away the snap count but it isn't the go, go-go thing... Cause as soon as the D bites on it and sells out, we`ll change it and burn them... Pretty sure every D coordinator we play against advise their player to pay absolutely no attention to it just because of that, its a double edge sword and becomes a distraction to the other team... What really happened IMO is very simple, the worst OL in the league against one of the best Dline in the league, there wasn't any creativity on our part play selection wise to try and slow their pass run, we didn't run enough, we didn't call screens except for the usual Wallace screen which every team expects by now... The Pouncey thing? maybe... but not the snap count...

he should focus on his below average skills as a lineman

No, he is at the end of his career. He saved the New England game by correcting Brenner's positioning. We need his experience. This is the difference between winning and losing. The little things that make a difference. An offensive tackle should not have to make either correction. The coaching staff should make this change.

The mental part of being an experienced QB is the worst part of Tannehill's game. The game has slowed down some for him, but changing cadence is beyond him at this moment. I hope he can find a way to play with his cadence for the Jets game.
