McKinnie suggests change of rhythm and cadence

You're right. The go-go's are not the problem. It's the tells between Jerry and Pouncey (mainly Pouncey). When dumb fans like me can tell when the snap is going to happen from the comfort of my living room while being lit up on alcohol, this can only mean on thing.

This is absolutely a coaching problem.

Barnwell and Mays were talking about this in a recent podcast only they were discussing a possible tell with another center (can't remember which one). Mays explained how a silent count works (as far as he knew): the QB signifies he's ready with his leg raise, in our case Jerry is the one looking for the leg raise and taps Pouncey (a lot of teams do it this way) then Pouncey drops his head to signify the beginning of the count which all players do in their heads, obviously this can only be a one or a two count as it would be hard to coordinate anything longer between 11 players. As far as I can see the only thing you can do to keep the defense guessing is use a lot of fakes (and this is where a possible tell could be a factor). I would be interested in knowing what McKinnie's suggestion was though as there doesn't seem to be much wiggle room as far as mixing things up to me.

Joe saying his team was not flat against Buffalo is a flat out lie or he has no pulse of his team.

Honest question and this has nothing to do with the coaching staff. But, how can you as an individual player come out FLAT for any game this time of the year? Seriously? None of us on the board I suspect are "professional players" but yet I can't help but think many of us playing pickup games come out with more fire and desire than half of these players.

Why the hell does a coaching staff need to motivated ANYONE during this time of the season?? I really don't get it.

It is up to the player individually to motivate themselves. However, a coach can set a tone and lead the team to a pitch come 1pm on game day.

A team reflects their HC. It should not surprise anyone that they cannot "get up" for games. I totally believe that will be shown tomorrow.

@NCFINFAN13, every time I see your sig, I want to throw up. No matter what we do on Sunday, it doesn't erase the fact that we got shut out by Buffalo. Shut out. If that doesn't point to not one, but several things wrong with our offense, then nothing does.

I get this if we're playing the 3rd game of the season vs. Jacksonville. But, i refuse to accept this with what was at stake going into that game vs. the Bills.
Sorry, If an individual player played Flat because coach Philbin wasn't bouncing of walls the entire week leading up to the game. Then IMO they don't need to be a player on this team...That inexcusable and completely ridiculous.

Gameplan failures thats completely on the coaching staff. But, not bringing complete energy and fight to the game thats on the players!

Case in point, New England gameday thread comments on Philbin's use of timeouts before the half, like a minute before we scored what turned out to be a very important TD:

Ha ha. That's a riot.

smart players get 4+ more sacks than others by finding tells, tendencies etc

I wonder how many nfl players tend to tip pass/run and snaps by having the slightest tendencies?

I would guess that players are coached to do the exact same thing pre-snap every time.

Philbin and Sherman have been on the NFL long enough to know the deal, perhaps there was one Bill DL or coach who spotted a tell
that nobody had noticed before
