I'm pretty sure that Ricky got 4 for his second....he skipped out on his third and retired for the year instead of facing the possible year suspension.

Not quite Invis...the way it went down was this...Ricky got his Third which would give him his 4 game suspension, instead, he retired and whatnot without serving his suspension or any kind of retribution and the league deems that a 4th violation which requires a 1 yr suspension. Ricky's 2nd violation actually came during the season if I recall in December '02 ...something like that...but it was kept under wraps pretty well.

So...if this is Randy's 2nd violation (which it is) nothing will really happen to him unless its a fine or if the team wants to bench him or suspend him themselves. But after this it gets really dicey with the league so he'd better watchout....REALLY watchout now...not just say he will.

also...even if the league should not really say its his 2nd because he wasn't found guilty or charged with anything the first time around...the league and everyone else knows about it and are aware that he's had problems so they wont be as nice about things when the time comes to figure out if they should fine him or suspend him etc. etc. etc. if there are ever any future problems...

I haven't read all the posts through this thread but it was my understanding that if testing positive, results weren't disclosed until the 3rd offense.
