Kiper:

Miami Dolphins

Round 1 (13): Rashan Gary, DE, Michigan

Round 2 (48): Chauncey Gardner-Johnson, S, Florida

Round 3 (78): Jarrett Stidham, QB, Auburn

If the Giants are undergoing a rebuild, what should we call what the Dolphins are doing this offseason? They have stripped their roster of talent -- and salary -- under a new regime, parting ways with starters Ryan Tannehill, Robert Quinn, Cameron Wake, Ja'Wuan James and Danny Amendola, among others. They have holes all over the roster, which makes this a tough pick. This is about where Gary's floor is in the draft -- he could go as high as No. 4. And he'd be the Dolphins' most talented pass-rusher as soon as he hits the field. Their top returning sacker is linebacker Jerome Baker, who had only three last season. Gary has enormous potential; the issue is getting that potential out of him every play. Gardner-Johnson is a versatile safety who could play down in the box or cover the deep middle of the field. Stidham is a project; he had a down 2018 season in a run-oriented offense. But he has an intriguing tool set that will likely see him picked on Day 2. The team that takes him probably doesn't want him to see the field as a rookie, but with Ryan Fitzpatrick as the No. 1 in Miami, this might be the spot where he's most likely to play early.

Miami Dolphins

Round 1 (13): Rashan Gary, DE, Michigan

Round 2 (48): Ryan Finley, QB, NC State

Round 3 (78): Amani Oruwariye, CB, Penn State

No top-tier QB here, so I'm opting to take Gary's athleticism at value in the first round for a rebuilding club before looking to Finley in the second round. Finley has fast eyes and reads the defense well. With Ryan Tannehill gone, Finley could start, at least at some point in 2019. But for what it's worth, I don't think the Dolphins will go QB in the second round, instead positioning for Tua Tagovailoa in 12 months. Oruwariye has the potential to become an effective press corner for a unit that doesn't have much behind Xavien Howard.

I can't believe they want people to pay for this ****

Yeah I’m used to being disappointed on draft day so I don’t see why Mel and Tod shouldn’t follow that trend.

Two weeks to go, they still have not moved up for QB, still fkn around. The draft will be a disaster however you slice it.

I am not a fan of Gary. Freak athlete with little production on a talented defense. When I watch him I get bored, he does nothing for the most of the game as he appears to loaf around and then might have one or two good plays. I’m not an expert by any stretch but the bust risk seems too high.

Personally I think Chase Winovich is the better player, that guy is all over the field.

At first I was like Gary isn't a bad pick, and Johnson IMO could be a good safety. Not a great pick for instant help but...

Stidham though...

Not liking Finley in round 2, but I really stopped following his game early last season.
Oruwariye doesn't seem too bad, and he could be a guy to help out the CB unit to keep Fitz at FS full time

That being said, not in love with Gary in round 1.

I agree on Gary. What I am unsure on is where Winovich might be selected.

Funny, just found this guy’s opinion;

“All Winovich did on the football field at Michigan was disrupt opposing offenses week after week. He earned a 92.3 overall grade over the last two seasons. Below is the full list of the Power 5 players who have earned a grade as good or better their last two seasons since we started grading:

Nick Bosa

Myles Garrett (tie)

Joey Bosa

That’s it.”

I don't like neither of those two mocks. Heck I saw one last night where we trade back to 17 and take Wilkins. I'd like that better to end up with a leader like Wilkins plus an extra pick.

Gross

Edit- To expand on this:

Selecting either of those qb’s in those spots would be gross

As much as I dislike those drafts as a whole...Gary is as likely a pick at 13 as many others and honestly, we could do a lot worse.

CGJ is a damn good Safety.

and getting Oruwariye in the 3rd would not be an awful move...

Actually a draft of Gary, CGJ, and Oruwariye would not be a bad draft....not a great draft, but solid.

With that said, **** both those QBs.

On the high end, in the last few picks of the first round. On the low end, mid to late round 2.

He's not the most physically impressive edge in the class, but his motor is rivaled by few.
