Mel Kiper has Dolphins taking C.J. Mosley in latest mock draft

well i mean i think i can understand some lack luster play more on offense with a 2nd year qb no ability to run the ball in short yardage no ability to protect the qb and questionable play calling and situational play calling especially from the now ousted oc more than i can situational play from a veteran defense that just about gave up every lead the offense ever gave it...

just sayin...

I agree with Atila, while the D could definitely use some upgrades (and whose couldn't) it is performing as designed. When Tannehill plays well (88+ PR) we won 12 of 13 games which is good for 93%. It's that simple, when our QB plays well we win and when our QB doesn't play well we'll probably lose. I would also say we're building our team to be the opposite of the "ground and pounders" and when they force us to play their style we will look bad, but hopefully if we ever get the chance to turn the tables on them we'll make them look just as bad when they are forced to air it out to catch us. If we ever get this thing rolling I envision our O and D working in tandem and snowballing us to 30 or 40 point leads, especially if we start running a lot more up tempo in the Miami heat.

The sad part is even though the team is clearly not firing on all cylinders if that dumb-ass Ireland had just listened to Philbin and made the Albert trade (or at least gave him a decent option at LT) I'm sure we make the playoffs and avoid all this doom and gloom talk (except the dumb-ass Ireland would still be here). The team played well enough even though it is still in the middle of the rework and Tannehill is clearly still going through some growing pains. If Hickey is any good at all and Tannehill can up the average passer rating to at least high 80s or low 90s we should win a fair amount of games.

its the same argument since 1995. the offense stinks and the defense has to carry the day. the defense has never been good enough to carry the team, not in 98, 99, 00, 01 and certainly not last year. you can blame the oline but tannehill has to make major strides this year or its gonna be the same exact thing its been for nearly 20 years. the problem with this team is not the oline or the defense but the quarterback. you cant hold onto the ball all day or have no clue when to take off and leave points on the field every week. we can have an all star oline and its not gonna do shi* if tannehill plays like he did last year. this franchise has to hold the record for consecutive years of fielding a good defense and a pathetic offense.

This is a random thought but what I find funny is everybody was so enamored with finally having a pass catching threat TE in Keller, he was going to be the guy that made all the difference, he would free up Wallace or Wallace would free up him and they would both help to free up Hartline. So Keller goes down and everybody is devastated, and rightfully so. So the funny part is he was supposed to be this big help to get us over the hump but when we lose him people either have amnesia or they act like he was a total non-factor. It reminds me of that Simpsons episode when the runaway roast pig kept rolling through worse and worse **** while Homer kept screaming "Its just a little garbage, its still good, its still good."

Its just a little injury, we're still good, we're still good. Its just a ****ty o-line, we're still good, we're still good. Its just our linebackers are terrible, we're still good, we're still good. It's just a little scandal, we're still good, we're still good.

[miss the playoffs]

OMG, wtf happened PHILBIN!?!?!?

Finally someone that doesnt just blame the OL for 58 sacks. Tannehill held the ball way too long on half of those sacks. He needs to learn a sidestep like Marino had but doesnt have the zip to complete a lot of passes after avoiding contact. Why not use run ability more? Either way, our run D stunk last year and we have to watch Dansby record over 100 tackles again somewhere else. a healthy Mosely moving Ellerbe to the outside and Wheeler to the bench is a win.

Why do people always bring up the "fact" (not really a fact) that Tannehill held the ball for too long? What if no one is open? People acting as if there weren't countless rushes that were in on Tannehill instantly. Not to derail the thread.

We have had one guy at one position who just loves to lose games since our 1-15 season. Gibril, McQuistan, Colombo, Martin, and Wheeler. Get me anyone to get that scrub on the bench.

I rarely agree with Kiper, but in this case, he might just be right. Ive had Mosley at #19 for a while, and believe he will be there. Of course, I prefer that we trade down and accumulate picks in 2nd and 3rd rounds.

Auright Miami! Competition at 19.

Well, its definitely Dolphinesque. Instant starters in the first round? Wheres the thrill in that?
