Mel Kipers Grade:

This draft was about Ryan Tannehill. Stop the constant sacks, give him a chance to take another step. I think Miami succeeded.

I am 100% with Mel on this one. I would give our Dolphins a solid A though...

Finally somebody honest about the Pats. Their draft was awful and the media i saw on them was fawning over them drafting "Brady's replacement." Ummmm, wasn't that the same thing said about Mallett before?

A grade of a B is fair and spot on. Not sexy, not pretty, but filled our holes with people that can be trusted by the people around them.

LOL, yup check out Heath Evan's shameless opinion who he thought had the best draft for the future....guy is such a tool.

Coming from Mel Kiper this is strong endorsement. I believe the biggest gripe people have is that we didn't draft for value. However, it seems we will get 3-4 starters with this draft which is a huge difference from the "stars" from last year. Hopefully, last years draftees will step up and together with this year help take the team over the hump.

Draft value can be overrated. It's great if every player you draft was a steal, but it matters little whether guys were picked too late or too soon if you don't get the players you need to elevate your team. We could have drafted a guy pegged to go in the mid first round by everyone, and we may have had a good player and no right tackle. A lot of good our weapons in Wallace and Hartline we signed last year did when our offensive line limited the chances our QB had to get the most of them.

I get a kick out of people talking value. I understand getting value for a pick, but I think a lot of fans over value it. First, not everybody's boards are excatly the same. There is no guarantee a player you want will still be there if you trade down. Teams are constantly throwing out smoke screens so you never really know, as the draft goes on, who other teams want. Now for those of you talking value, if James a pro bowl RT are you gonna say...Yes he's a very good takle but we really reached for him in the draft. Hey! The draft is over. Value doesn't mean anything now. All that matters is what happens on the field.

Kiper's always been an arrogant 20 pound head asshat...still is. Frank Caliendo's Mel Kiper is probably better suited to cover the draft. Ok, maybe not but it's close!
