This schedule is a joke. Unfortunately we're not that good to take advantage of it but the only really tough games outside of our division are both at home vs SD and Seattle.

To be realistic, we will probably be 1-3 to start the season with one win on opening day. We should be able to take 2 of the next 4 games with wins vs Balt and Buff. We will get another 2 wins over the next quarter of the season with wins vs Oakland and the Rams.

The final 4 games are a bit tricky though. We could be on the rise which would give us an extra push to take out Buffalo in Toronto or get smacked. Is that game in a dome? SF was over rated last season but you can't look past their defense which will get better. I just don't know how that Mike Martz offense will help out their defense. They may be too worn down by that point in the season.

Then the final 2 games are vs weak teams who are very solid at home. Combine the potential for bad weather with their home field advantage and these 2 games are loses. We would have to be a team of destiny to escape those places with wins.

The realist in me says 6 wins. If we can reach 6 wins and get good effort in the final few games and I see this season as a victory. If Beck, Brown, Ginn, and our #1 all perform up to their expectations, I will be very excited for 2009.

The Fins fan in me says 4-2 in the division (3-1 vs Jets and Buffalo), 1-1 vs NE. We'll beat Balt, Oakland, St Louis, 49ers, KC, and Denver. That puts us at 10-6 with close loses @AZ, @Houston, and vs Seattle. And a few bad beats @ NE (blizzard hits Foxboro in late September), @ Jets (we're not used to that much noise), and vs San Diego (my Superbowl favorite).

Here's to hoping vegas posts a win total of 5 or less for us.:hi5:

we won't be on TV until 2010.

at least not locally here in Miami. Next year I don't see us having but 35,000 to 40,000 season ticket holders. Lots of empty seats over the next couple of years at Dolphin Stadium.

Wow a little optimistic there right.

Just think possible 2 & 0 by the 3rd week vs. Pats ( 2&0) ............We Need J. Taylor more than ever with this soft schedule.

Nublar- I would bet that the roof will be closed even thought it is for football. They actually seal it usually in November even while the Argonauts are playing and dont open it all winter. Usually the seal is not removed until shortly after the Bluejays start playing in mid-late April. I would be absolutely shocked if it was open.

That makes sense. Personally, being from Pennsylvania, I like cold games. Nothing better then a night game in November at Beaver Stadium.

That aside, this is tremendous news for the Dolphins.

All accept for the drive home. That flat out sucks, it takes me an extra 2hrs. to get back to OH because of the traffic on US322.

What I really want is a Flyers-Pens game in Jan. man that would be sweet. >107,000 puckheads!

Got my tickets lined up for the Houston game. Much better flight for me than getting to MIA. Third time in 3 years though. What's the deal do we have to play there till we win?

Then we'd best get used to playing there
